I love Clayton Oliver. He just took out two opposition players in 30 second, both fairly. He's hard as [censored] this kid.

Jetta will be a big loss. He's so reliable and started well again today. Our midfield needs to tidy up, we're getting enough ball but are so fumbly!

No talk around the ground. The players don't tell their mates when they're hot. Happened a few times last week. Think Hunt looks good. I thought he got put into the seniors too early but he's proving me wrong. Good long term prospect. Petracca looks clean too. Smart player.

Can tell we'll lose today already. They're not running hard enough and are bombing long without thinking. Harmes needs to go back to the VFL. He's not up to it at the moment and doesn't put in.

Think the defense looks undersized. Both Dunn and McDonald were poor last week, but Garland isn't big enough for their talls. Pederson will have to play back and hope he and McDonald and Garland all play well, otherwise we're screwed if the ball makes it there often enough. Great to see Oliver back!

He'll play half back this week then. Good luck to him and I hope he plays well for us. We need some tight defenders who know when to run off and attack. Maybe he can become a key for us?

Great news that Bernie signed on for longer! He's been such a great recruit for the club. On field he's been one of our best, and his leadership has developed considerably too. Off field he's been good with the media too, often appearing on footy shows and being well liked.

This loss was purely down to players work rate. I have a friend who works at the club and can pass on that the coaching staff singled out a few players in the review. Guys like Kent and Harmes didn't put in, mids didn't push back hard enough. They were also livid at Tmac not following instructions. He was told to stick closer to Reiwoldt after qtr time but kept trying to guard space and cut off attacks (unsuccessfully). He seems to have developed an ego and taking things on himself. Unsure if he will be dropped because we don't have any other decent tall defenders as coverage, but they're very unhappy with his attitude.

They need to put him on ice. He's already had a concussion a few weeks ago and not looked the same since. Time to give him a week or two off to get right.

Also, not sure if anyone remembers my post from during the week but I've noted when Jones gets into a decent scrap the boys get fired up together and win. Todays match; no scrap, no fire in the boys, no win. The stat remains!

This game was lost purely from poor work rate from our midfield. Today was possibly the worst two way running I've seen from a Melbourne team since the Neeld days. Watching Melbourne mids jog through the center when their opponents were already 30 meters ahead of them and waiting for the ball in their forward 50 was maddening. It's up to our senior players out there to lead by example and demand the younger guys follow. There was none of that today. Jones and Vince need to verbally engage guys like Kent and Tyson and Kennedy and Harmes to make sure they run back to help out. Nothing the the coaching staff could've done today other than give them a spray. If the players don't try then the coaches can try all the moves in the world but nothing will work.

Petracca was fine for a first gamer. Some of his disposal was poor, but he also showed some good clean pickups at speed and help set a few up. Most importantly he laid tackles, which is more than can be said for most of his teammates. ANB deserves a shot now. He's smashed it at VFL level and would at worst give us effort and get to contests. Bring him and Oliver in next week.

Couldn't go to the match today but I sure as [censored] won't be going to watch us at that stadium in the future. What a waste of a match this has been. [censored] Melbourne building is up and then crushing us again. At least just try you bastards!

Worst loss We've had in a long time, and that's saying something after the Essendon loss. Wtf is wrong with Kent, Harmes, Tmac, Hunt, Wagner, Lumumba, and nearly the whole team!?! It sucks we can't drop that many guys because none of them deserve to be playing AFL after today!

Flood the back line time. They have so much space there it's actually a joke. This is our worst performance for the year. Really disappointing this effort.

Also what has happened to Harmes? His one attribute was being a competitor. Today he has been soft as [censored] and falling over playing for frees and not competing. Deserves to be dropped.

How the [censored] is their forward 50 so open!?! Our midfield is putting up an absolutely pathetic effort today. Regardless of if we someone comeback and win today they need to swing the axe on at least 3 players because this kid of effort is not good enough.

Hunt and Harmes need to go back to Casey. Both are right off the boil. Mcdonald and Salem poor but can't afford to drop them. We need Hogan to kick 10 today to be a chance at this rate!

They're been in control since 10 minutes into the game. This is getting ugly. We need to tighten up to just stay with them until half time or its game over. Tmac and Salem having shocking games. Hunt fumbling, Harmes and Kent not putting pressure on. Very frustrating!

It'd be good if Tom McDonald realized the game had started. Having a sh*t game so far and it's costing us.

We're lucky to be close at the moment. Winning th clearances but getting beaten everywhere else around the ground. Need to tighten up a lot or they will start to blow us away.

Salem is very frustrating at the moment. Poor defensively and for some reason his kicking skills have abandoned him. Hopefully he gets some confidence back soon because we need him firing off half back.

We need to tighten up defensively. They're well in control with ball movement at the moment.
