If we picked DW up for a couple of years (29yrs old) he would be able to at least fill the younger fellas with stories of how good it is to win premierships! We have lost Whelan and Wheatley.... I know they are different players, but they were both older heads in the backline.... And Cameron Schwab has recently made the point that teams need up to 12 quick blokes rotating through the midfield to be successful.... I know he wouldn't be likely to be around during our premiership window, but the lessons he could teach would be worth a lot.... Just a gut feeling that I have..... I have not entertained the thought in past years, but for some reason this year I think it fits.... Opinions?? Or have I just lost all my cred? (If I had any) hahahaha

Basic scenario is that Port will get 9 and 16..... The deal is apparently done.... But in a shock.... It involves FOUR clubs! That is all he could say.... So Port will have Picks 8,9 and 16.... Could not elaborate on it anymore as they were in the middle of signing paperwork..... Interesting!!!

If the rumour I am hearing is true, then Essendon have included their Pick 10 in the deal with Port/Hawthorn/Burgoyne/Williams.... I know it might sound strange, but they reckon here on Adelaide radio that they will confirm just before 7pm (7:30 EDST) that Port will have Picks 8,9,10.... Hawks get SB.... Essendon get Mark Williams.... If Hawthorn are stupid enough to give 9 and 10(via Essendon) to Port then that may throw a spanner in the works come draft day....

If Butcher is still available.... Then we will take him.... I have no doubt.... But it's a big IF....

I think Burgoyne will be off the list..... Ball is likely to be the one available.... Will be interesting to see if Melbourne go for him....

Got it on fairly good authority that they are keen on Panos (Norwood) But until it is confirmed somewhere, I am not sure that the pick 10 part is right..... I hope they don't have it.....

Just heard that Bradshaw failed his medical, apparently a knee issue..... Looks like the Fev ---> Brisbane deal could be falling through....
