Yeah, I think the second part of your post sort of rings true to me. Not having a gun safety never really hurt anyone that badly. Having a good one, sure, it's great. But lots of teams enjoy success with a secondary that just does its job unspectacularly. I think it's the Bears offense that really does worry opposition teams. They have a tough division, sure. Maybe the toughest. But if they CAN get through to the postseason, I think their WRs and QB scare a lot of people. Cutler's best is as good as anyone's best. There isn't any throws he can't manage. I think asking for a complete list on both sides of the ball is unreasonable in this day and age. Or in any day and age really. You can only jope your best guys get good at the business end. In the NFC I only see the Packers, Saints and Seahawks having starting talent that outstrips other teams. And really then only by a player here and there. I wonder what result it would take for you to get a bit more positive on your (evidently my) Bears. Ticket to the NFC championship game? I have Cutler as my fantasy QB. Paying huge dividends. Took him in the tenth round too. Boom.

I somehow know a lot of Bears fans, and they're saying this is their year... a LOT. Cassell and Henne out would be two of the least stressed-about injuries/drops this year. lol
-
Yeah it's getting like that. Last year Eagles shouldn't have won NFC East. But they did cos they had only 2 season ending injuries at the start of the year, and nothing else. The whole OL played all year. This year, they're doing ok, but it won't last with almost its entire OL now out. Almost makes you think they should make lists bigger. Almost. (They're already HUGE as it is)

Chicago wins on the road. Surely some people will be sharing the yellow jersey with me this week?
-
Seems easy to me. I think the Philly bubble has to burst. They had no more OL left on the bench. Foles was getting killed, had to get rid of it immediately every play and still got smashed pretty badly. You can't go on winning against the good defenses like that. For most they said we had to win this to be taken seriously. Which we did but only just. It was a great win, but only because of context. The nastiness of it, the fact it was at home, the amount of injuries on offense we have and still #2 in scoring and yards. The fact that Foles is worrying everyone in rounds 1 and 2, and he played one of his best games yet, under huge duress and injured. And Peters showing the Eagles phans and players what it's all about. I think though that the Colts win was probably more telling, and if they beat the 49ers who are a serious team, then we'll have some news.

No way. I thought for sure everyone would have tipped those. They were the only ones this week I thought even looked like it? Got luck though with Ravens with their last minute FG.
-
I have your doctor on speeddial. You misspelled Mariotta.
-
Both Dallas and the Rams aren't as bad as people think. Had Philly not won against Washington, it would be 3 sides on 2-1 and Skins on 1-2... Dallas will push Philly all the way up to the last 5-6 rounds when they play each other.... same as every other year.

Heeeeey. Big week for Dappa...

Colts Ravens Chargers for me.
-
Just makes me angry Macca. We have the best sport in the world run by a bunch of incompetent wankers.
-
Could you do that for me? Ta. I think it's five isn't it? Actually I read somewhere the average is something like 5.8 new teams every year in playoffs...
-
Ah Gotcha. I would argue the Eagles TE outdoes theirs. Especially in that system vs Eagles system. And yeah, it's easy being an Indy fan.
-
Am I the only one who can't decipher that one? lol

- Yeah massive for Eagles. I definitely didn't think we could win it right up until the penultimate drive, where I thought if they don't go for it on 4th down, we'll win. Still don't really understand how they did it. No way they have the Colts' talent. - I have a feeling that right up until week 15 Dallas will be one game behind Eagles and just never go away. Their D is fine. It'll get exposed but has done a great job so far. Their offense is giving up more TDs than they are. Giants are terrible, but not so bad that they'll get Mariotta. RG3 out will probably help Skins in the next few weeks somehow. But yes, put what you got on Eagles to make postseason. After what I saw this morning, I can't see how they'll miss. - You've got that right on NFC Norf... WAY too hard to pick. WIll come down to injuries/suspensions/criminal investigations. Though I safely put the Pack ahead of the others in the long run.

Luck didn't even play that well, somehow I looked at his stats and he was only on about 60 or so yards in the third quarter... and somehow it felt like he was gonna kill us at any moment. When he got it right, my god, he got it right. When Brees, Brady and Peyton are done, he'll slot in to one of their spots in the top 5. Almost certainly hall of fame.

The Colts pick at end of 1st half? Was a sort of hail mary really.... but an athletic take for sure. The Eagles one that won the game was actually a penalty. SHouldn't have been allowed.
-
Can you let me know how that goes?
-
Hmm. Centrebet only has superbowl winner and weekly games unfortunately?
-
I don't know betting very well, but I'd be interested in that.

I don't understand what you mean about Jacksonville? The stat counts for everyone regardless of teams. Not an important stat, I'll grant you... but still a bit of fun. I'm not sure I agree with a lot of what you said, but the above is dead on. I think everyone likes a coach who makes good gameday calls. Chip's only ok in this regard. Makes one ugly one for every 2 good ones... but more importantly he puts together a team and then coaches to their strengths. He won't pick up a player that will fit HIS offense. He does it the other way round. The good thing about that is how you can lose players each year, like the Eagles did, and it doesn't matter so much. And the fact that he wins games all the time with pretty much a no-name offense and defense, besides McCoy speaks to the fact his plans are working. Most importantly though, as you say, he has the development thing down. There's players who were a bit of a question mark, and they've improved. Pretty much everywhere. It makes you think he won't need to make it every year to keep his job. That's important in the what have you done for me lately league... I think most Eagles fans are confused about what he is, but this year will be disappointed to not win a playoff. I think that's fair.

You'll have to forgive the gloating. Was a pretty damn good win though, even with the lucky penalties.
-
Eagles: Noones ever come back from 14 don back to back in first two weeks of a season. Beating the Colts in Colts land... Are they the real deal? What say you demonland?
-
It's a helluva game already. Gee whiz Luck is good. Colts look like they're just ON.... No penalties yet. Eagles have given away 3-4 bad ones.
