That's a good post. Are you worried? Or more just hoping they tighten up? I remember thinking on the weekend that we saw things that were drastically out of character from everyone except Jesse. And that goes for Roosy too. how he didn't drop player back to stem the bleeding I'll never know. I saw 6 goals that could have been avoided with a decision or two from the box. To me, that gives me hope.

It was 9? Wow. Yeah.

Interesting. I reckon it's the whole "that effort was unacceptable" thing. I reckon the effort was there. Or relatively close. The essendon game it wasn't, saints game was a long way off that.

Great post. I didn't see anything that [censored] me off or scared me. I saw riewoldt kick 8 against us in a losing side in the early 2000s before the saints had their dynasty. We won and went to finals and they didn't. But they walked out of the g happier than us. We should all feel the same. No roo, while different game. And our kids are younger and have less games. Everyone needs to relax.

I saw riewoldt kick 8 against us in a losing side in the early 2000s... When everyone knew he'd be a star but he was not quite there yet. We won, but somehow knew we wouldn't be winning a flag that year... And the saints left with big smiles on their faces. Fast forward almost 15 years and they're still smiling. Not as much as me though. The tables have turned. Just a mater of time now. And a matter of whether or not we can keep him in free agent era footy.

I was gonna get on to rebut this. I thought he was awesome in the midfield last year for a player of his type and age. Was certain he'd had a number of clearance-heavy games. Had a closer look.... He averaged 1.8 last year. Had 5 once. Very interesting. Given we have 2 players who seemingly have been genetically altered to be clearance superstars from birth, I'm not too worried... but all the same, your post is one of the more interesting ones I've seen. Do you see him possibly as a winger? Flying off the edge to take out opponents or intercept handballs? He's not absolutely blistering pace, but pursues well and seems to kick well at full tilt. I just don't see him as being all powerful going back the other way. You have to be a gun in the air like Jetta to be taken seriously these days as a defender. Can he be that?

See you next time we play the Saints. You and me both. lol

How good is the NFL... draft day is always fun even when your team barely has any picks... Only in the NFL can the Tunsil thing happen. Absolutely amazing. Big winners for me, Titans and Jags. List wise they are both serious teams now. Jags will be so great. Defenders galore, especially if Jack gets up, but their offense is great too with receivers everywhere and a super young quarterback. Watch out for them.

I'm picking 8.2 lol To the winner go the spoils, PA.

Really? We're not a rich club, and as we know, salary cap doesn't mean squat when clubs do extra deals and jobs. Yes. But could have chosen a lot of different clubs to end up at. Que?! Have you seen the triple teams this year?! Jack may be kicking the goals, but Hogan is still the first guy you look for if you're Jack Viney.

How about that. A good person/footballer with talent that isn't a cokehead or borderline rapist. I feel like we stumbled across a unicorn.

Where does Chris Dawes fit in all this?
Dappa Dan replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I was thinking this last night after the article dropped. I can't believe how young he is. It feels like he's on his last season for some reason, when he's still just a kid as far as KP players go. -
As I already explained. Money. I don't think any one thing makes any player's mind up. Decisions this big involve all the usual things. Homesickness, money, girlfriends, team success and trust in the club. Every year there's big names being looked at and every year they leave. All I'm saying is team success alone doesn't mean as much as people think, or Bernie wouldn't have come over.
-
Mate I hope you're right. I can't believe how little credit he's getting for Jack's revival. Not that Jack's a downhill skier, but he's benefitting massively from Jesse's double and triple teaming. So is Max.

- It's all speculation at this point. - I can't stand this idea of "playing for a good team." Players have left for money over and over again. We have a couple of them ourselves. When Bernie came we were a debacle. So no, playing for a good team makes no difference as often as it does. - That's speculation at this point. Roos is still the coach. And he played better last year when we were total team defence. - Fyfe, Neale, Bennell, Sheridan, Taberner, Hill. All good. All young. They're better than Carlton. And Lyon's a sensational coach. You may wish to disagree, it doesn't make a difference, but that post would have been repeated over and over again with every big signing, from Judd via Ablett to Scully. If you want to stick your head in the sand, then that's fine. But he's not signed until he's signed. We went through the Scully "I promise to stay" thing. We know how this works.

Could be. Could be. Again... can he adapt... I actually prescribe to the theory that they've been up for too long. I remember about 3 years ago mates from clubs not involved texting me about the prelim they played 3 years ago being the hardest game they ever saw. And in the following couple of years they haven't let up. If I say "maybe they're tired?" will I get smashed by 'land posters?
-
I can. A lot of extra money. In Perth which he loves. For Ross Lyon, the Roos clone. I'm not saying we don't have more reason to stay at MFC. But there's certainly a pull there. Freo aren't in a complete rebuild like Carlton. They'll be back into relevance quicker than people think.

Nice post.

Demons don't need saving. There was a time we did. Then Jack Viney arrived. Culture changer.

How good is it to have a #11 who absolutely fits the jersey, but also knows why it's significant. All I think when I see him running around is... How good it must feel to be Max Gawn all day every day.
