I'll take Olly based on what separates him from everyone else. I think his hands in quick might be the best in the AFL. Certainly in a few years, with development, size etc etc... He could very well be regarded as that. Whereas Mills is just good at everything and is a leader. Not much in it, but Olly for mine. Given every man and his dog knew Mills would be taken by Sydney wherever he was bid for... Was our bid tactical? Actually BBP, Ive spent my time since yesterday doing something I haven't done in over ten years. Swimming in the Bigfooty mire. They do really good Redos of drafts. Lots of highlights like Hunt... Lots of lowlights like Toumpas. Olly's draft though... He's probably either first or second on a redo with Mills. Weitering will likely overtake them in the long run. Hipwood and Rioli climbing... Lots there that you have to wait for like Schache... but it's looking fun for us so far.

The Parish thing is great. The fact Clarry came up so late and Demons didn't even hesitate, just snatched him (tried for Mills understandably). Mates of mine are bombres, and they started on the "thanks for Parish" stuff... and early on I was worried we had another Toumps/Wines on our hands. Not anymore though. We got the player. And my god, what a player.

His hip's bothering him less. I'm convinced that's what it was. I feel like they knew, and had it as a thing they knew they'd have to cope with for the first month of the season. Now he's less restricted, the real Viney is back. This is what we'll see for the next 8 years from this kid. Our Lenny Hayes.

All the media people are building it up. The players and coaches all keep saying no-one over there gives a damn. lol Stupid I think. If there was an o/s country worth going to would be Japan. They're sports mad, love imported sports, and have one of the biggest overseas supporter bases going round. Not sure where you'd play it though. not a lot of space. lol

The most fun thing in football outside of anything demons... is watching Richmond delude themselves every year. Bless em.

Spoke to his Juniors coach a couple of weeks ago at the MYS. Lovely bloke. Bit of a character, so take of this what you will 'landers. He said he carried him off the pitch half a dozen times as a kid. So if you count just the ones he's gotten as an adult + what this guy says... I dunno. I'm not making massive calls... but boy it's different. Only other player I can think of that compares is Bell. Uncharted waters here, so I'll sit back and hope. But the sheer amount of knocks are heaping up in a way I haven't seen.

This is the worst news of the year. Freo Hawks be damned. It's getting silly now. If he's really getting hurt from minor blows then he's gotta go. Rest of year at least.

And hun had it viney 3, jones 2, Vince 1... lol one of those games. Throw a blanket over about 8 guys. speaking of hibberd. Hasn't had a bad game. Hasn't had anything but a great football game since he came in. Our best player this year minute for minute.

Yup. Notice that when it's Salem or Jordie kicking it to him, somehow he's a good player on the lead. Thing with Jesse is he's shown he can mark the dump kick when he's 50-50 with his opponent. When you do that enough, your entire group of team mates will divert to that kind of thinking, dump it long and trust in Jesse. His issue is his team mates don't deliver it well enough. It's simple. From the first quarter of JLT1, we were absolutely hammering the dogs, but couldn't get the ball to a player inside fifty. It's been that way all year so far. I almost understand the sooking he does sometimes. We're lethal by hand and when clearing from defense, then we just set hospitals on his head all day.

You want to design a forward line around the chaos ball? Really? Hogan plays against every team's best every week, plus one for support coming over the top to spoil. In that situation his job is to remove both from play, which often he does by pancaking them, bringing the smaller players into play. If you want chaos ball, then you're welcome to it, but give me a player who can control getting the ball to ground every day of the week. Not saying I agree he needs to go to defense, but boy even in the way he moves sometimes he reminds me of the big man. Bingo. We have a tiny sample size. Online people are always jumping at shadows. There isn't a problem here, other than in future seasons if he wanted out of the club. This thread will be amusing in a few years.

Me too. But because they're silly, or because they're true?
-
Surely that's sarcastic.
-
Todays win, the news will be him and Track. Track got the 3 votes on mmm. This is their breakout.

I don't think you've quite done enough to make the thread about you. Hogan' fine. His role is perfect and he's playing it well. Playing deep as the bailout kick and flattening, usually, 2 opposition players every time, leading to scores. His off the ball work is awesome in this regard. Wanders up to the wing and offers a target when he's not getting it. Even pinches in the midfield. I haven't seen a wasted minute yet, other than the Tigers game, which now looks completely different. Some people are hard to please. Aside from Gawn, he's our most important player both with results and with structure. We've been performing badly up until tonight, and part of that has been the lack of a target. He plays the games he missed, we're 6-2. Says it all. Each to their own and all that. But fair dinkum, anyone who thinks he's not important... come on. Sounds to me almost like he's getting traded again and someone's writing how we're better off without him.

Hawks win last year was best in ten years. This was better by a comfortable margin. I cannot believe what I'm seeing.
-
My god Trac.
-
Tracca might be the biggest news... We knew he could lead and goal. But the midfield stuff. When he gets it we go.
-
wow. We're a man down for a half. And we have 3 guys doing very very little... This is amazing. I've never seen anything like it in red and blue.
-
Apparently it was there.
-
Other way round. I went the reverse moz.
-
I don't want to be a downer... Mostly cos they've been awesome tonight. But we're a man down again... And leading into last quarter. Sounds familiar.
-
Holy smokes. 10 goals against last week in Q1... 9 in a row to us now. Something weird is happening at Crowland.
-
CLLLLLARRRRYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Folklore.
-
Tyson kicking again hurting us. Love him... but just saying.

Roos put TMac forward a few times when needed. He's not the first. But yes. He likes to make a difference. I'm more pleased with the two behind the ball making the Adelaide forwards earn it.
