Footy is weird. ND takes us to GFs and top 4s... and his name is mud. Bailey gets us a handful of wins against vic clubs, and not much else, and he's adored by our fans... Odd. I think both of them deserve our respect. Bailey's dignity is his own reward. How many coaches cop what he's copped and walk away with self respect the way he has? Not many. Compare him to Lyon right now who got his club a lot of success...

I'll believe the hard edge when I see it. Making this list (and club) hard will be a hell of a task... Jones, Moloney, McKenzie... they can all sit back and relax... but Morton's gonna be sitting in the corner in a ball peeing his pants, rocking back and forth. This pre-season had better be painful for all concerned. Cos it's painful for us.

Exactly. I fell in love two years ago, now it's my second favourite game to watch behind AFL. Having said that, the purists actually prefer college ball in the states. The game where you can kick a goal with your head? Yup. Awesome game.

That may or may not be true... One thing's for certain though, MFC are crap at it... so better to get the best talent we can, since we're not going to be able to make the goldsacks/maxwells of this world premiership players.

Well done DL 7... great finish there... needing marks from Deledio, and I couldn't get them. Rode my luck all the way to the end, and then it abandoned me, along with most of my backs who play for the dons... Well deserved win... Now. VERY interesting post. Some of it dead on, some of it couldn't be more off... eg: His kicking isn't "very" iffy. It's actually pretty good most of the time. He's no surgeon, but they can't all be, and when his teammates are running to position I trust him. His currency is high yes, but he hasn't been dropped to the VFL. Sicne returning to the side he's been one of our best. Can't remember when his last howler was. Again you get it right with the fact we have almost too many mid sized forwards... Green, Jurrah, Howe etc... But he's not the one to pick. And the first response got it in one. That's it in a nutshell. What small flaws he has he's shown a propensity to work on. He's the picture of a modern-day footballer... While his currency is high, we'd almost certainly not get anything better than him in a trade. Good try though. The whole idea of giving up something to get something is sound... and forgotten most of the time on here.

Yup. No Crameri either. That's two defenders both of whom were ranked around 100 for much of the season. Ouch. Drop Sandi and I'm done for sure.

So week 2 of finals is thus: Range Rover takes on the impressive Jackattacks. Going by their scores this week it would have been a 5-4 win to JA. Both sides unaffected by the bye too... Robbo24 couldn't have picked a worse time to lose Joel Corey to a bye, as he's coming up against a full strength demonland7. Had they played this last week it'd have been 6-3 to DL7... 7th and 8th, for the draft order for next year between Jako and HT. There's actually a fair bit of debate in the Dappa/Attacks household as to whether it's better to end up last for picks or first. Get pick one, and it's Sandi, and he does a Turf toe for most of the year you won't get another pick til 32. Whereas if you win the comp you're the first player to get 2 picks inside the first 17. I reckon somewhere inbetween is pretty good. I'm picking at this stage Both Robbo and RR to crash in burn 2 weeks running... and JA to come up against big bro dappa (Mum'll be proud) and DL7 to take on the impossible-to-dislodge JCB... and JCB to lose to Dappa in the final, of course. :D

Good opening week. Jackattack advances by 2 handballs over Jako, after what must have been a nervous wait watching Dangerfield and Ling in the last game. Thanks his lucky stars he didn't have to apologise for earlier trash talk. Solid 5-4 win for JCB to get the week off. Huge scores in that game, everyone but Johnson kicking a goal for JCB. Demonland7 goes forward after a 1 hitout + 2 mark win over the unlucky HT. Dappadan reigns supreme over Robbo, who despite having Buddy kick 8 zip on day one on the way to breaking the league record for accuracy in a single game: .889, goes down and has to play week 2. Unlucky, as had West or Gawn played stats might have looked very different. And in the other one (is that what were gonna call it?): OMR with 4 handballs over 45HG... Unlucky not to win more categories though. Half of Snomed's side didn't play and as such got smashed by rpfc. Deevoted done by Scarlett and looking a monty for pick #1 next year. And Eth38 in an epic over mad melbourne despite kicking 4 goals to 14.

JCB I'd say you're favourite. Ottens AND Jolly. That'll trump my Sandi, who's not going to be setting the world on fire. And Robbo... how are you NOT winning?!!! Buddy kicked 8 STRAIGHT! When has he done that all year? And no frees against?! Sadly I know your pain. In Jackattacks and my other league we have with mates, I'm playing him in the same game, I have Buddy and I'm losing 5-4... Aaaaah Ultimate Footy.

You shut the hell up. I wasn't pulling out of that one at all. A well earned victory by your boys. Making top 8, anything can happen, as we've seen this last month or so. I was gone for all money and somehow managed to stay top 4, with Sandi to return for finals. JCB couldn't buy a win all year, and somehow takes out top spot. RR unbackable favourite a few weeks ago fell apart somehow. Jackattack powerful all year has a bad run and slips out of the top 4 and has to play a rising YOU next week. A fickle mistress, UFooty. Bring on finals!!!

Yup. JA guaranteed top 4 assuming he wins next weekend. Robbo and dappa the only guaranteed top 4 at this stage... Big finish.
