Isn’t it great having a trade week where none of the available players are better than what we’ve already got.

Let’s not forget he missed 1 game with a fractured eye socket. Soft.
Returned 13 days later and destroyed the Richmond forwards on the big stage.
Gold Coast must seem like a lifetime ago.

Could you love this bloke any more?
I just watched the ANZAC eve match, incredible in shocking conditions. Had 38 and a goal, yet it didn’t hold a candle to his Norm performance.
To be already back at work shows the elite mindset.
I can’t believe one of the very best is on my team.- 2

I’m not convinced yet.
Seems a bit selfish winning Rising Stars and Premierships at 20.- 2

About the same odds as Hawthorn and the Dogs missing it in 2009 and 2017. Easy to look at the reasons they missed out now in hindsight and say they won't apply to us but I doubt anyone was saying they would before the start of those years. I'd put missing the finals next year as not much less likely than us winning the flag by 70 points before this year.
The inability to land a big fish and the possibility of ending up with a pick somewhere between 10-14 next year and having a top 5 guy on JT's board fall to that range are probably more compelling reasons not to do this trade than our pick being in the single figures.
If you think a system that has worked for a year and a half, that’s now absolutely smashed home a flag, and has had no cogs removed is suddenly going to fall apart and miss the finals, you haven’t been paying attention.
Winning a flag didn’t give you any relief at all, did it?

I’m a big fan and would hate to lose him. Does some incredibly clean, eye catching stuff at Casey.
Remember when we had no small forwards? Now a production line.

The more I watch it the more Angus stands out. Game of his life. Unflinching, played it like his last game, and when you think any game seriously could be his last, his courage was/is outstanding.
Just took hits, stood in holes, laid bumps, ran all [censored] day.
The mark speaks for itself. But I love the angles he runs in on like a cheeky bugger that makes the shot a whole lot easier.
Inspirational stuff.

Trac’s 2nd. It seemed to dribble for an eternity for me, slow motion, and you could see instantly it was going in. I know these type of goals are second nature, but to do that so perfectly, in a grand final, game in the balance, with 57 years of pressure and being one of the main men… just ice cool.
And Kozzie’s cameo adds some extra flavour.- 5

De Goey and Stringer, if you ordered Petracca off Wish.

Seems like a close call, may need a poll to decide it.
Welcome to Demonland, unfortunate first post.
The sport is the entertainment. Other than that, meeting whomever you meet at the game that week and chatting about what’s to come was always enough me. Now you’ve gotta compete with “match day experiences” and horrible music and advertising.

Thank you! I love this vid. I love that Hodgy noticed then pointed out the fact that after being interviewed Maxy and Tmac hugged it out. ❤️💙💕
I also love the Hodge is the more professional one keeping his wandering drunk uncle in line.

Everyone makes a good case here.
I’ll nominate Tomlinson. Absolutely [censored] myself when he went down. Would never have thought that would be the case.
Let’s get him a medal.

Don’t think I’ve ever been so fascinated with a player, both his ability and his character.
I still laugh thinking about him in the rooms having a chuckle at busting his tooth in his first final. No biggie. Let’s get on with it.
Helping turn the grand final will be remembered forever. At 19 he will be remembered forever. What a start to a career.
He could’ve easily handballed to Viney instead of Oliver, but he rarely makes the wrong decision. Just a jet.
(Viney could’ve stuck a paw out too and messed it up as often happens. But they were all in a flow state at that point)- 4

Did Lever give a reason for choosing us at the time?

Tom Sparrows goal, not only because he was 50m out and had 4 doggies coming at him, but the theatre of TMc pushing his opponent over the line, as if he was going for a TRY.
Launched him 5 metres! A meaty shove.

I don’t believe I have ever seen a player crumb his own failed speccy attempt for a goal. Must have happened but can’t recall seeing any.
You’d have to go all the way back to 20 minutes earlier when Roarke Smith did it :)

They’re hardly going to show him slinging it into the hotdog stand in a highlights reel now are they.
