Great DE. Work ethic to burn
  2. Oscar may not be an elite kick but sure is better than Zac!

Not a lot wrong with those predictions. I do feel the Giants will push the Cowboys and I actually wouldn't be surprised if the Panthers bottomed the NFC South. Mack will take out the sacks steaks. That's an absolute lock

Haha see you in Week 3!
  5. Still in the 'promising' category at this stage I'm afraid. And that's coming from someone who is a fan of his.
  6. A player like that would give us some leverage! Ok that's enough!
  7. Worth a shout. Definitely prefer Lever though
  8. One can dream though!

I've heard similar things so it will be a bit up the air for a bit. I do think offense minded coaches are the way to go currently with it being a passing league. His Superbowl gaff was pretty hard to miss but hopefully he can bring something. Hoyer as QB won't get us to a superbowl but I think he can win us a few games, Garcon knows Shanahan and brings some experience. Who knows!

Not long now guys. How's everyone's team training camps going? I'm hoping my 49ers can at least get 4 wins or above this season.
  11. Wow that's a surprise. Hadn't heard from Harry for a while. RIP
  12. Yeah I think its probably his best game for the club as well shading the other St Kilda game.
  13. decoy forward. I like it!

As a big Liverpool fan I'm pretty mixed on that first game. Horrible defending for each goal conceded. Mignolet flapping all over the place and basic organisation lacking at the back. Please bring in Van Dijk now (as unlikely as it probably is).
  15. I would say that its coming hopefully. We still lack a little firepower and we don't quite hurt teams enough when we get it to the outside. Once these youngsters get that belief and a bigger tank I have faith we will run over the top of someone.
  16. Love what he brings to the table, always makes a contest and you can bet he'll use it when we need him too.
  17. Yep, would be an awfully raw deal. Maybe trade up somehow and get a higher pick to send along with *Insert fringe player* and they may listen.
  18. I'm also for Hird presenting the Norm, but I've been hearing Mark Allen on SEN almost in disbelief at the possibility that people could boo. I personally won't but it is still a controversial choice with timing whether people like it or not. People are entitled to boo if they want and I'll give the AFL no sympathy when they turn around and say "why is this happening?"
  19. I'd actually be kind of glad if he hadn't met with us yet. I think it says a lot about a person's character if they are directly talking to other clubs in the middle of a premiership tilt. Leave it to the managers

I really can't justify the game pass. Was on it for a while and then when they had the option of only getting your team's games I did that but it's just too much now.
  21. Gun defender in the making but certainly wouldn't sell the farm for him.
  22. Get in!

This thread needs a bump purely to pay tribute to Robbie Whitaker, gutsy win over Romero. Looking back to the 2013 posts on this thread are a chuckle and when Hendricks was fighting GSP. The guy can't even make weight now!
  24. Think he was a little down tonight but his value to the team is unquestionable. The off the ball stuff, the experience and leadership he brings. I think there's some good opinions being brought forward here and it's great to discuss but if you honestly think he's done nothing to help the midfield group this year and if you think our unit was as strong last year without him then I'm not sure we're watching the same games. If one of our guys gets targeted by the opposition like Oliver at HT tonight he's the first in there and getting in their face. The culture is changing at Melbourne and he is playing a part in that. i didn't expect Paddy Dangerfield performances when he came across. I expected a guy who is past his prime to offer value in progressing our mids. Has he had some down games? Yes. Will he make it to the 3 years? I don't know, maybe not. Is he doing what we got him for? Yes
