2012 Player Review - # 24 Liam Jurrah
Sir Why You Little replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Said my piece last night. -
The fact Gys could not break into a truly awful senior team in 2012 must be taken into account. Is that attitude? That said, if there are no other clubs showing interest we should keep him for another year. But what does Gys want? The coach will know.

2012 Player Review - # 22 Brent Moloney

Stef Martin needed as key back for opposition gorillas
Sir Why You Little replied to Tex's topic in Melbourne Demons
its because he looks so fit and agile. Somebody could flick that switch in his head and he has the capability to be a Top Shelf big man. Stef has a laconic streak in him...holds him back... -
i totally agree...but i have no problem with people talking about it. For too long supporters said nothing and accepted what we got each year. You are the one who talks of the new broom BB. A vent is ok with me.

I would like to see one more pre season in Martin. He is borderline but he COULD be such a good player. Confidence. -
When a pick 12 plays 2 years in the Casey 2nds its perfectly reasnoable for members to ask questions.

and Moloney walked. Says a lot. Norm is watching.

we had to pay overs this year to get the sytem rolling. I am impressed with how much we got. If Dawes has full confidence in his hand. He will be a gun. Another Brighton Grammar boy. The Blazer will fit right in!!

We have been aggressors at the trade table....I think we will be again next year to. But in past years we have done 3rd party deals or taken players discarded, not always but often enough. This year we were on the front foot from the first morning. Jesse Hogan is a man mountain....We must all donate for his supermarket account..He will be a Beast in 1-2 years.
-
Will you enjoy his "doing" next year in a Port Adelaide Jumper?I won't.

Let me just put something down here.. Having seen some football in the Kimberleys in the 90's as i have said earlier most of the players on both sides played with bare feet...and my God could they run & carry that ball. So to me somebody playing football in bare feet is not Rascist at all...in fact i have Respect.. Now if somebody else thinks and says that in a Rascist manner that is for them to deal with....I am not responsible to strangers at a football match. I am genuinely sad that Liam has gone...But i am also sad he left without saying even a small Goodbye & Thankyou" to the Members. I also reiterate my point that the Liam Jurrah Biography should now be at about Chapter 7....Far from finished. That Book came out way too early, & was the start of the end.

Well said PJ, i wish i had written that...I think i am still reeling from being compared to the Parrot....i feel all wrong now..Yuck!!

Anthony Mundine deserves all the comments he gets...he thrives on it.After his 9/11 outburst he lost me forever...and it had nothing to do with the hue of his skin. His dad was a mighty Boxer..

Mate please do not equate my Answers to that little evil Man...i have a lot of understanding so please do not put words in my mouth now or ever.and yes the MFC did everything they could for Liam...Why do you question that???
-
Yes i know...But it wasn't as if the MFC did not try and do everything plus more to support himI have been up the top end....it is very different.
-
"Take the Boots off next time" comment was not made by me so i wonder why i should have to comment...But i will say having spent time in the Kimberleys that the Black Fella's up there very rarely wear boots because the ground is too hard..so it was probably quite strange for Liam to wear the boot.I fully understand the cultural hardship Liam would have felt coming down to Melbourne...BUT the MFC did bend over backwards to make it as painless as possible.. How many trips up north did members of the MFC make?? It would break Jimmy's heart to see Liam wearing a F$%^&king Port jumper, after silently leaving the club...(to the members anyway) As soon as Liam went back home last year to face a conflict i knew his time in the city here was finishing.. The whole thing is sad...i just wish Liam had made a statement to the club & its supporters The Melbourne Football Club went beyond the call of duty....for what?
-
Must say i agree with all this 100%
-
Big call there Sunshine.....You better back it up before you leave...
-
You do see things differently don't you Thai.....The MFC did everything for Liam & then he left without a word to the supporters and the club get nothing for him.....You tell me that We owe Liam?? He is a mere human like you or i, once you cut the skin.
-
Sloonie...Point taken, but it is draft month...this is the time to discuss such things. It looks like this time we have done a lot more drafting for the "now" this time around..Good, Great. But those 2 picks 11-12 really put the club back some years...What was the strategy behind it? That is what i want to know, so that it can NEVER be repeated again.
-
He won't be missed by me...IMO he was the source of the problem that led to last years upheaval & 186...His empire has come down...Good.
