Found out some interesting information today via an ex employee of Southern Cross Austereo..SCA. The interview was pre recorded 2 days before it went to air...was completely cleared by their legal team.. This in my eyes completely changes the dynamic....a live off the cuff phone call ala Tony Martin Mick Molloy is one thing..this is another SCA could be in huge trouble over this...they would have known the risk... Southern Cross have been lowering the standard of radio for years, maybe this will be their swansong...?

It does seem strange to me that you cannot purchase an MFC Membership at THE DEMON SHOP situated under the MCG...why is that? I don't want to see any potential member turned away. We need them all. Even if it is signing people up via the online site whilst in the shop. 5 minutes work. A family can be signed.

i am writing a book about my time on this planet. It is almost ready for editing. 7 years of extracting memories from my past. I am amazed what i did remember when i got in the "zone"Almost 700 A4 pages so far.. Where did we meet DL? The 'G? Or was it at the st. i agree, the days of Alf Brown & Percy Beames are long gone. Robinson i find offensive in print or on radio. He is a sloth. Emma Quayle isnot the greatest writer, but she has an energy. She does live the story for the full day.

I cannot say for sure. I do not listen to the station. But usually those phone calls are made live to air (7 second delayed) Tony Martin & Mick Molloy did them daily. It is very sad but i do not blame the announcers, they would have been waiting for the nurse to crack up laughing. I wish she had, i really do.

i agree. His career plummetted after it was published. The book came out way too early, and for that reason i have not read it. I love biographies but you need to do a lot before publishing. Liam's book is at about...Chapter 8..."My time at Port Adelaide"

This is how i see it. The impersonation was terrible, so i doubt the announcers thought they would get more than a 5 second response before the phone is slammed down. When that didn't happen it became funny. You have to wonder how ahe thought it was the real deal? Aussies will always try their luck with humor. Guedo Hatsis was the last i remember. His CD was a beauty, all prank calls...

i am not codoning what happened at all but phone pranks have been around for over 50 years. The fact the poor girl took the call and went with it is the crux. She must have been ashamed beyond belief & the UK Press would never let it go. The announcers have been taken off air...
