I think all Club Presidents enjoy some self aggrandisement. It is a seat of power that is in the news year round. Nobody is saying PG did not work hard but by the time Jim Stynes took over the place was in freefall. The change had to come.

the motivations of PG & the Football Club. His template was to turm Melbourne Football Club into a big business. A corporation of sorts. It had some merit. But as with everything it needed balance. Too much of the club was sucked away. The place went cold. Bev had worked on 3 Boards, she was on the pulse.

i spoke to Bev O'Connor about it at the time...she had a fair idea.

Dogs in Space. Saw it on ABC2 last saturday night. Set in the Melbourne Punk scene 1978. Stands up very well. Had a good friend in it who played a small but important role. He died a few years after it was made so it was great to see him again. Highly recommend it.

P Man until the MFC treats a 2 point loss exactly the same as a 100 point loss..unacceptable on both accounts the MFC will continue to be an easybeat for all others. I am hoping that is Mark Neelds attitude. It was my one criticism of ND..the Roller Coaster.
