  1. i thought it was a good question actually. One of my best mates from school struggled with coming out for years. Nearly killed him. He should have told us years before. Been mates for 35 years. Men "coming out" in a Man's Worlds i would guess would be harder, but then women have the "family" stigma. Interesting Q &A..
  2. Just ordered a copy of "Spotswood" from Amazon. Classic film made in Melbourne in 1990 (i think) Slot Cars make an appearance so enough said!! Check it out if you have not heard of it.
  3. Yes i have to say i am over Liam Jurrah as i am over any player who chooses to leave my club before their potential is even closely met. The MFC did everything it could for LJ, but he still chose to walk. The moment i saw him on McGuires program i knew it was a matter of time. That will be the most interesting chapter in Bruce's book... I wish Liam all the best but i really do not want to read about it on demonland. It leaves a bad taste.
  4. Interesting article today. I like JT. But it still did not tell me why he couldn't kick over 35 metres last year...
  5. the article needs to be sold. Whether it is factual or not is not the primary concern.
  6. Who would sack the CEO...The MFC or the AFL? If it was an MFC Board decision i would i would expect the Board to step down as well, as it was them who extended CS tenure last year. One in all in. So i find the above statement hard to believe at this moment....
  7. Sacked on Saturday...i highly doubt, but like everyone i will be waiting to see how true this is.
  8. A lot of people questioned the Recruitment of Mitch Clark to...The Main point to remember with Dawes is that the MFC (Neeld) targetted him...Chris Dawes did not land at Melbourne because that was what was left, we actively went after him. Neeld and Leigh Brown went to his house...They have worked together. Chris Dawes with a leadership role to his namw could be a very devastating weapon...At the Filth he was cog in a big engine....A player like Dawes needs one big game to regain confidence, he is a massive unit...only certain defenders can play on him. Fingers and toes crossed
  9. This whole thing stinks. Blucher got off lightly yes, but what about Adelaide?? I bet my left ball their directive to Blucher was "You sort it out..just get the deal done at whatever cost" The Crows & Tippett must be laughing their collective heads off at their own light punishments!!
  10. Dawes is a massive unit even as a decoy. Top Bloke too, met him when he was at Brighton Grammar. My dad is very pleased he is back in the Red & Blue!!
  11. My Filth schoolmate is pretty sure Dawes will do very well under Neeld. Was very sad to see him squeezed out.
  12. happy with the Free Trade recruits RR?
  13. I have removed 2011-12 from my Brain. Those feelings of angst and pure anger are gone. I recommend it.
  14. oh yes. His career is tainted but it was a soft punch from HQ. Which is typical of the current regime
  15. Only 12 Months...Typical...This bloke makes Saul Goodman look like a model citzen.... What about Lynch??
  16. So he is not very good at Mathematics....There is only one person who can fix the problem if he is unhappy....FRAWLEY HIMSELF.
  17. ^^^ This. Jack is a very talented Sportsman..He dominated every sport he played at school with natural ability. Now he must learn to step up mentally.
  18. Rangey. You are back! You survived the Cooler...Long stint that one...
  19. I will be watching Jack very closely this year. I still believe he will be a great player after some Neeld/Misson pre seasons.
  20. Donnie Brasco is wonderful...Mr Depp can play any role. A fine Gemini...
  21. Blue Velvet and Easy Rider are both awesome. Hunt down Flashback as well. Dennis Hopper with Keiffer Sutherland. I liked it. Apocalypse Now is also Dennis at his best.
  22. I was often taken in the rooms in the 70's after matches, so i am sure i said Hello to Arthur as a wide eyed kid. Thanks. Going into the rooms post match was quite surreal.
  23. Big Jimma did things differently to anyone else. Jim bought emotion back into the MFC. How else could we have cleared that ballooning debt. Which then allowed the club to leave the antique shop (The junction Oval) Pity we did not take the Lexus Center Site, that was a jump we should have taken. Yes it would have cost a lot...but success aint ever cheap. AAMI Park should tide us over till the Docklands site is sorted.
