Exactly right Kojak,thank you!!! Paul Gardner & the former board requested Sunday "be our family matchday,we want to make Sunday ours" Pmac and the current board are submitting to the AFL that we relinquish our hold on Sunday games. BRING BACK THE DEES AT THE G ON SATURDAYS

The AFL didn't just GIVE us 15 Sunday games this year,it was requested by Paul Gardner and it was granted by the AFL. All clubs put in their requests for fixturing and most of the requests are worked into the draw. The AFL didn't just say "Melbourne,you are playing 15 Sunday games this year",bad luck if you don't like it!!!! We requested it to make Sunday our matchday.

This year,Hawks play West Coast twice. Once at the MCG,Hawks home game. Once at Subiaco,West Coast home game. So it doesn't matter which rounds these 2 games are played. One is West Coast's HOME game. One is Hawks HOME game. West Coast play their HOME games at Subiaco. Hawks play their HOME games at the MCG. END OF STORY!!!

Round 15-Hawks v Sydney at MCG. Another Hawks MCG home game,regardless of who the opponent is. Yes,it's probably better off being played at the Dome,but they have every right to play their HOME games at the MCG,like they did against West Coast tonight.

It was the Hawks home game,where else would they play it?

Why shouldn't non Victorian teams play Friday night? Every team wants Friday night exposure,could you imagine the uproar if Friday night football was only played by the 10 Victorian teams? How inequitable would that make the draw? This year's draw came out late last year when West Coast was a top team,they want/deserve Friday night football like every other team.No wonder we play stuff all Friday night games,Paul Gardner requsted as many Sunday games as possible and the AFL granted his wish!!!!! It's a National competition.

Does anyone remember Paul Gardner in an interview about 2 years ago saying that Sunday will be our matchday,"we want to make Sunday our family day" He put in this request to the AFL to play as many Sunday games as possible to claim Sunday as "ours",which the AFL granted. I remember TJ saying he'd rather not play Sundays as the boys couldn't go out Saturday night and it was a big issue on SEN bagging the players for not putting footy first. I'm really sick of all these Sunday games and i hope Stynesy requests we play more Friday night,Saturday/night games. I also think it's time the AFL should fixture Friday night double headers.Channel 7 don't like showing Footy live on Friday nights so they can broadcast the 2nd game and Channel 10 can broadcast the first game. I could certainly handle coming home from work on Fridays,grabbing a few pizzas and beers with the boys and kicking back with 2 games back to back. Bring back the Dees at the G on Saturdays

Brent Prismall played another great game and had 32 disposals.However he held his spot when Selwood came back in and the Cats look to be giving him more game time,he won't be dropped while he's in this form. He would complement Brock perfectly with his hard,tough game.He'd be perfect for us.

It was a real kick in the guts when his missed out on the leadership team and he took it pretty hard thinking his teammates didn't rate him.He's definately out to prove everyone wrong and i've got no doubt he'll win the B & F,he's having his best year by far in his 8th season but we need him to play as consistantly as this for the next 3-4 years at least and he'd know that you don't want to be remembered as a footballer who had one great season. The thing that's really impressed me this year is his hardness at each contest and he's taking really gutsy marks week in,week out now and young kids like Morton,Garland see that and know that's what it takes,when it's your time to go,you gotta go. I was also really happy with Cameron the Bruce's game today,best game for a while and his disposal was a lot cleaner.

I was really happy with Cameron the Bruce tonight,29 mostly clean disposals,although should have nailed that goal before the onslaught. Also happy with Wheatley,29 good disposals. Brad Green played well,took some more gutsy grabs and is having his best season ever. We really need the above 3 to be consistantly good if we are going to challenge,we can't rely on the under 22's. We won the first quarter and second half and 10 minutes in the 3rd cost us. There are some real positives on the horizon.

Do we have to talk about Natnui 2 minutes after a game? If so,we can finish 15th,avoid the spoon and still get him as WCE will take Rich.

When your backline concedes 127 points a game (20 goals),doesn't matter how good your forward line is,you ain't gonna win many games!!! Bulldogs are the highest scoring team this year and they average 123 points a game!!!!!! Which means even if we had the Bulldogs forward line this year,we'd still be losing because our backline concedes more than the best forward line scores this year. Garland & Warnock are developing very well this year but to say they wouldn't be developing as well under another backline coach is not crediting their own natural development.
