  1. Would Like this several times if I could Jaded
  2. If someone could photoshop Jane Bunn in a Melbourne jumper that might just about blow all the pickets off The Fence
  3. Looks strangely bigger in a Melbourne guernsey than he does in a Scorps jumper
  4. My favourite moment of the day
  5. No. I think she got a job in Sydney part way through last year
  6. Maybe, just maybe the match committee thought it might be unwise to bring in JKH or White to play at CHB ? We are out of big blokes ! What other option was there ? Unless you want to enjoy the comical sight of ALL of Jamar, Gawn and Spencil stomping around the expanses of Freo's home patch. Wouldn't that have been fun ! FWIW I thought the kid went ok
  7. This actually merits consideration. You do need a ruck squad. If they all get cut down you're stuffed. I still recall heading off to Freo with Nick "426" Smith as our sole ruckman as all other options were out injured. His last game I believe & he predictably got smashed as did the team. It's reasonable to assume that there's improvement in Gawn and he'll consolidate his position as #1 ruck in 2016. Spencer is what he is - a bloke who will be around the club for years playing mainly seconds but getting games in the seniors when matchups dictate the need for a second ruck. He'll do a job, compete but will never be a first ruck. If Jamar is happy to compete with Spencer for those scraps, he becomes pretty good insurance. King is still developing & looks to be more of a forward/ruck anyway. There's no-one else on the horizon.
  8. I'd be happy if some of them could kick properly on their preferred side Your point is valid though. Viney for example often runs himself into trouble because he has no right side whatsover
  9. 12 years ? 1 good one. A couple ok and the rest pretty ordinary. Hardly a retiring legend If he gets a game next week it will be a pretty clear sign he's not getting a contract the week after
  10. Hasn't hurt Hawthorn I agree that Carey is not the answer. He's far too old
  11. Did that long ago. I don't think many take issue with the decision, just the deceit. He's not done much to hurt us until this year & his leaving created opportunities that we've capitalised on. Getting Hogan The irony is that this year the footy he was playing pre-injury is exactly what we lack. Hard two way running on the outside It's taken a long time but he now looks like becoming the player we hoped he'd be for us So be it
  12. It's a point that many here have chosen to ignore as they hurry off to get the sackcloth and ashes to indulge in a jolly good bout of self-flagellation. "Oh no - Roosey's blaming us" I'm not sure you worded that the way you want to but I think I get your point Spot on. I've got no problem with what he said on Monday. I agree. The Tuesday damage control was messy though. But his original point is right. There is an negative air about MFC. Justifiably so as many have pointed out. But we are loyal. We have stuck through thin and thinner. But I reckon I see progress and this gives me cause for optimism for 2016 and onward
  13. That would be too easy OD. If you wish to truly atone, I think you should fly to Perth, knock on Jamie Bennell's front door and tell him that you forgive him And have it videoed and put on YouTube for the rest of us to enjoy
  14. Roos and Jackson. This is a whole of club rebuild. If supporters want to pin the failings of the last decade (or 50 years) on the results we've had this season then there's no reasoning with them. If a couple of board or staff members can't cope with hearing the truth - [censored] off and let someone with an appreciation for what the job entails do it. There IS an air of negativity about the club. Use this joint or Demonology after a loss - or even BEFORE a game. FMD, anyone talking to a fellow Demon fan isn't dwelling on the thrills of '87. They are talking about the shite that we are in now. It is negative. We have been worse than anyone since University, But we are slowly turning it around and we need to stay the course Because when it comes to their footy teams most supporters have the attention span of a goldfish. After we beat Collingwood we had people on here suggesting finals were a chance. A week later the same people wanted to sack everyone The Leigh Mathews rule "things are never as good as they seem and they are never as bad as they seem" should be used a bit more often I record every game. Watch them all usually at least twice. I delete the losses. You can only learn so much from them. I've kept our wins this year. And the reason for that is so I can remind myself of what we're trying to get to and where the incremental steps along that path have occurred. Sure we are going to have days like Sunday, far more than we'd like - our team is still far from the finished article - but we are gong to get there. And we are not as far away as many seem to think I can replay those wins and watch our ball movement and I don't reckon I'm going to have a problem with the game plan And your reference to the scintillating footy we were playing under Neeldy is timely. Every now & then we supporters should go back & watch the first two games of his tenure. That's how freakin' far Jackson & Roos have had to drag us
  15. Beats me why this bloke gets air time Seems he's on speed dial when someone is lining up to give us a kick And as for that tripe about messiah's and Barassi - no RDB didn't get us to finals. But he & Slug Jordan laid the foundations for the Northey era Gardner gives me the irrits - whiny little dwarf
  16. Changed my mind after yesterday. If his body is sound get him & stick him on a HBF
  17. So you write a post outlining the deficiencies of 17 players and conclude that "it's the coach" How do you think Beveridge would go about addressing those deficiencies ? Or Richardson or Hinkley ? Or maybe Clarkson or Lyon ?
  18. Be thankful cows don't fly
  19. Seriously ? I realise a lot of your posts fall into the "off the wall" category but mate, this is just making shyte up
  20. You're doing a good job of disguising it
  21. That qualifies as a big finish ???? Ah yes, we are Melbourne. You're probably right
  22. I'll be happy if he plays out the year unscathed. Don't care where. His year is rooted anyway. It would be good to see him primed for a decent crack at pre-season & 2016
  23. i'd think anyone who's intelligence was insulted by this doesn't have a lot to work with in the first place The Fevola situation is ancient history. Very different operation now
  24. I've not seen a better follow through on a kicking action since Darren Bennett. Textbook stuff. And yes, Tayla is also a lot nicer to look at than the Big Dork Bennett was. Man, could that guy kick a footy !
  25. Has been one of my favourite players for a long time now. Love his no frills approach. But I don't think he's right for us now. Would rather give Cross another year
