I wonder when Hibbo says he wants to play with mates he means Harley Bennell who played there last year?

Not strictly footy related but whilst we're discussing BBB here's a link to the quirky house reno he had completed recently that popped up on the Green Magazine insta feed. Not sure if the polished concrete floors would be good for that dodgy knee of his.

The question of course is whether the house is still 'north facing'!

Sometimes in sport you have to shake things up. Max and Viney appear to be a good combination. But we can't have a repeat of straight sets losses and series of off field issues. A shake up with Lever as skipper and Tracc VC would have been welcome.

I’m excited about Billings. Gun junior who struggled in the poor environment of the Saints. I reckon he might prosper with no expectation and with our superior program.
No doubt his skills are excellent. just needs the right environment
This far too simplistic in my opinion. Demonlanders trot this out nowadays in the hope that recruits will magically become players they weren't at their old club. Billings' old coach runs our football programme for one! That same Saints environment never stopped the likes of Steele and Marshall from being great players.
Billings' problem, aside from constantly breaking down has always been a lack of pace, and his ability to win the contested ball. He's also a double grabber. However, given space he can be very dangerous and his delivery is excellent.
Saint supporters were always frustrated that his form seemed to improve dramatically in a contract year and he ended up getting paid far too much for the output he provided.
I wonder if Harmes and him being in a 'superior programme' all this time will automatically make him a star at the Bulldogs?

For a guy who's only out for six weeks or so, the reaction on here is pretty extreme! It's only January and BBB could be back playing seniors in round four.

Could be a player this year. Lose the puppy fat and gets super fit, may surprise a few.

Quick ball movement to an uncluttered fwd line...
An uncluttered forward line is difficult these days. All teams flood numbers back. Sometimes as many as 30 players.

Big fans, but Bowzer and Salo need to work on their contested stuff...

Buay Duac was one of our NGA guys right? Tall bloke that only played a handful of games for the Stingrays last year.
Anyone know much about him?

Terrific photos. Bowzer's kicking technique is superb.

Particularly loved the question of taking Windsor over Curtin. Hard question to ask of a such a special guest but you did a great job with that question. Showed a lot of tact.
Me too. I liked the answer. JT obviously thinks the Duke (Windsor) is a better footballer which is consistent with my assessment.

As mentioned, would love to see Kade Delarue and Kobe Shipp join Casey. Both have plenty to offer aside from being locals.
Have a feeling Shipp will be a late developer just like his father.

What a strange post to be reading in November!
There are plenty of ifs, buts and maybes, of course, but perhaps we should look at these after we've played six games?
At this stage of the year there is no need to be overly positive or overly negative. Let's see what transpires.

unbelievable
thought these 3 youngsters would be drafted by now
Arie Schoenmaker
Archie Roberts
George Stevens
definitely top 35 in my opinion
With Schoenmaker, maybe club imposed sanction of 10 weeks impacted AFL clubs thinking?

Any chance we trade in a future pick to grab a tall?
The Gawn, Verral, Fullarton set-up is... not deep.
Mitch Edwards still available as a ruck who can clunk a mark, and Archer Reid as a 203cm forward who can help ruck.
And what, exactly, is our count of available list spots?
My impression is that assuming Hore and Brown basically means we have just one spot left, and that if Brown is bid on then that spot has to be a rookie listing?
Really like the way Edwards moves, but aside from Kynan Brown we ain't doing anything else.

I like our two picks. Sometimes as a supporter it is a case of distilling down who you don't like. I have reservations over Sanders (lack of explosive pace), Caddy (in between size for key forward), Curtin (a tall flanker who didn't impress me in Colts GF), O'Sullivan (thrashed by Croft in championships).

So this is our man! Great. Speed and a line breaker. Just what the doctor ordered.
Unlike a couple of our guys, can sprint and kick the ball at the same time!
JT must think he can also get his hands dirty too which would be my only reservation.

Interesting! Done it the hard way has Marty!

Extended highlights. Massive props to the person that's been putting all these draft videos together.
This one is slightly different in that the video is broken down by skillset eg. Marking, contested work etc..
Yep, he's good :)
No wonder, in June, we flagged our wish to have him.
Miracles do happen...

Makes you wonder if Norf even need picks 3 and 4 given their needs.
Their midfield is stacked with likes of LDU, Simpkin, Wardlaw, Sheezel, Tarryn Thomas and Will Phillips... All high draft picks
They don't need McKercher, etc. They need key defenders, classy flankers and goal sneaks which they can pick up later.

I wouldn't mind drafting local lad Kade Delarue with a late or rookie pick. When I say local, I mean local to Casey!
Good sized mid/flanker. Has a yard of pace and is a good user, especially inside 50. Is the ultimate team player and overcame some injuries to be a solid performer in the Championships.
Father was an excellent player at Springvale and Dandenong.

My preference is Sanders from a needs perspective. My view means nothing of course but i feel he's the best target for us if available (behind Reid).
Yeah, I'm not so convinced. Sanders seems to lack the explosive pace you need to be a top liner. Great accumulator and incredibly consistent though.
