  1. I meant this mystery line?
  2. Just re-watched the third quarter replay and it confirmed my on the ground impressions from a forward pocket vantage point – our forward structures and delivery i50 remained relatively poor. A lot of missed opportunities and we really should have kicked eight or even nine. The dominance was built on the back of forward defensive pressure and creative midfield movement at the clearances. In ways, this is especially pleasing.
  3. Just about bingo on my current 22 – though I have Frost in for Garland at the back. Still rather unproven and not in fantastic form but I’ve seen enough of solid ol’ Col now that I’m ready to push for the future. Aggression and creativity. On that note, I’m keen for Lumumba to have another shot with new ankles under the new structures after I offered up some serious criticism last year. Also assuming Petracca is not game ready or still in the naughty-corner. Bugg to come out otherwise as we’ve proven we can cover inexperience and still compete. Surprised you don't have Kent bolded as I'm not sure who is hotly contesting this position. Or is a matter of a non-position and another midfielder slotting in ahead?
  4. My vote is with DeeVoted.
  5. There were a significant number of extras on some of the scorecards that you can't imagine they'd be all true or false. So that should rule out in-play differentials. But they occur at different levels and formats as well. My random guess is that it's related to betting. Maybe like the line? Or, if I could be arsed studying it at depth, some sort of impact differential? Should note - I can only find it on one website as well.
  6. I can't find an example of where true and false extras are given on the same scorecard. Does this occur? Still no idea what it means though.
  7. Did they show the rotation stats at half time? I was standing behind the interchange until the break and it was noticeable how much we were burning through them. Constant six on six off. And it was hot out there. You might expect to see the result in the legs in the later stages but a split second of extra freshness at the clearances can make an immediate difference, especially then if the opposition is all of a sudden constantly chasing and under energetic pressure. Back that up with being first to the ball and Port tiring in their tackling technique and we were getting the rub from the umpires like I've never seen before. Taking nothing away from the boys, that's the nature of the game, and hopefully indicative of our more positive intent.
  8. Dispatch from the ground for Pineapple Dee. Salem was pushing up from half-back to our forward-half contests early but otherwise holding back - after the quarter break especially so; in an old school sweeper role to stem the circa 98'-alike Power kicking cheap goals over the top. Seemed to be coasting a bit today but lost track of him after half time. Main difference after the the main break was Gawn hitting to advantage (and the decent half-time cheque handed to the umps). All else flowed from that.
  9. Hey boys and girls. I’ve never before set foot in 'lizbeth, but I’m going to risk the pearly-whites and pop over to Playford on Sat for a squiz. I know it’s televised, but anything in particular the people here would like me to keep a close eye on in person?
  10. When I sketch the best 22 I still pencil in Mitch and Liam - rookie draft?
  11. I went to Bali with Vanders and Dom somewhere around round 21 and just emerged out of the back-end of the West Papuan jungle now. Apparently we have some new players on board after trade week(ish) (sans the promised big fish) and a couple fancy draft picks in lieu? I'm nowhere near up to speed, but footage of this boy Parish is convincing. Usually, I pay little heed to draft prospect propaganda, but the kid appears to spend it before he he has it in the best possible way. Seems to read the play a step ahead of normal human beings. If the better-informed draft-gurus on here could please enlighten me why we shouldn't pick him, (so I don't have to read through months worth of threads) or why we might not get him/others aren't taking him, then I would be most, er, enlightened. One of the most clear highlight vids I think I have ever seen. Sometimes you just know.
  12. The radio commentary (BT & Co.) made a pretty big fuss of the kerfuffle.Like it was highly unusual. A few minutes later it was coming through the audio. Old fashioned donnybrook? Over Watts's output?
  13. That's some pretty serious hypocrisy yee defender of negativity and all that is morally upright.
  14. Worth the risk in my mind. But his price is 'getting higher' by the week. If we can get him cheaper than Motlop then we win. Have full confidence that our staff/playing group can iron any residual personal issues (or at least supply him for a lot less down south).
  15. Preaching to the converted JRS. I don't even acknowledge he's improved. But as a pragmatist you can imagine he will still be here round 1 next year. Let's work with and improve what we've got. As far as not affording to go too large in the front half next week, I've essentially given up.
  16. Most folk will know how I feel about Chris by now. But he will be here next season and needs time to develop (straight face). TMac isn't the second-ruck answer (nor Dawes). Fitz could be.
  17. Get Ben. Better than Yarran and cheaper than Mots. Just do it.
  18. I left the house today. Bananas at one of the superoglimarkets in the NT $4 down from $6.75. It's skin and mush - cheers and die.
  19. Let me tell you now Ev'rybody's talkin' 'bout Revolution, Evolution, Masturbation, Flagellation, Regulation, Integrations, mediations, United Nations, congratulations All we are saying is give Fitz a chance
  20. TRB - I'm not okay with 53mb. Can you please summarise for us? Your thoughts of course.
  21. I’ve been critical of Harry’s output for a while now, yet still don’t want him out of the team. His harry is good but tackling and disposal are poor and the run-on is pure chaos. But it’s those negative attributes that I think could be turned into positives with a shift up forward to find some touch. His specific position can be Dawes’ feet. Time to look to the immediate future (trade-week) and let those on the unknown fringes (obviously subjective) play out the season. Happy for White to have a taste at some stage as well. Jetta/Tyson cotton-wooled with VdB’s in Bali. We’re playing for 13th. Tell the incomers they’re a lock for the last three barring injuries (and the Russian’s farewell) while managing the kids (Gus/Harmes/ANB/Stretch can swap in and out whenever) Sweeping changes not for the sake of punishment but for ‘team management’. I still believe this a competitive team (with hopefully some extra incentive) and we don’t have a great deal of midfield depth to bolster the center anyway. In: Newton, JKH, Salem, Toump, Fitz, Riley Out: M. Jones, Bail, Brayshaw, Jetta, Grimes, Garland. FF Garlett Hogan JKH HF Newton Dawes Lamumba RR Viney Gawn Vince C Watts Jones Harmes HB Salem McDonald Howe FB Toumpas Dunn Fitzpatrick Int. Cross Michie Riley S) ANB
