FF: Garlett Hogan Watts HF: Kent Frost Vanders C: Vince Jones Brayshaw RR: Viney Gawn Tyson HB: Salem McDonald Lumumba FB: Jetta Dunn Garland Int: Bugg Kennedy M.Jones XXXX Listening to Roos's presser and training reports this is my expectation. Lumumba comes in if he says he's right (didn't this happen last year at some stage?). Vanders and Gus good to go. Frost before Pedo for forward defensive pressure to help nullify the GWS half-back run. Bugg and Kennedy to play. Roos said there were 25 in the mix. Last spot between Harmes, Oliver, Pedersen and Grimes. Interesting question. Not so sure we'll be seeing Clayton just yet.

Haha. I'm confident.
-
Wow. That's huge.
-
Had the same question. Urban dictionary doesn't help. A left foot/right foot thing?
-
The AFL was going to kill off the Magpies? Seems a little spiteful. But in all seriousness, is there any more said on this? Was this something that was previously in the media that I had missed or is it a new revelation?
-
Will also be interesting to see how it translates at the selection table.

Again, this is reasonable. But he also copped to it, which is another fair point to mention when people are condemning a teenager as unprofessional. By all other reports he was highly professional and lauded for his approach to rehab for the larger part.

To Curry, From Sailing Demon.

Yes. And I disagree with Roos if Roos is genuinely upset. A massive over-reaction. He broke a toe rather than aggravate a knee. He was at just as much risk of doing the exact same at training. Or, playing with his dog. Or, doing whatever people do in the course of their lives. It's not an example of a poor unprofessional attitude that needs correcting.
-
I tried. Still not seeing it. I've noticed our lack of professionalism. I understand Roos was brought in to tend to our garbage behaviour. But I'm not convinced this is an example of some renegade selfishness. I broke a toe once kicking it on the side of furniture.

I'm not sure how you can take someone called Blake Acres seriously.
-
I'm sure it's been argued to death on some other thread elsewhere but - serious? Our rotten, amateurish administration of late has allowed young upstarts to play backyard basketball in their spare time? No wonder we're crap with a culture like that.
-
Go on . . .
-
Pretty sure they've psychologically profiled Christian and are messing with his head. He did absolutely nothing wrong. A spot of B-ball compared to Sylvia's antics . . . But the entire coaching staff have since made a serious point in the media every chance they could that he's not getting a start round 1. They want him jumping out of his skin.

Saturday Talking Point: The Football Supporter
Skuit replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
Off topic slightly, but as a Demons' supporter who grew up in Adelaide and has spent the majority of his Australian time in the northernmost reaches of both northern states before living across the globe in places with plentiful Aussie expats I've always had the feeling of walking alone. Entire countries where as far as anyone could discern I was the only MFC supporter. We deserve trench mentality way way before Liverpool. -
Jeff had a few useful passages down in defense last NAB.

I was asked in another thread who I supported being the chief football writer for Fairfax if Caro was sacked according to my voodoo spells coming to fruition. Proposition 1.

The 'Demons' new found competitive aggression
Skuit replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
I either feel really sorry for you or blame society entirely. -
I'm not normally a grumpy poster but . . .

Most semantic thread ever. i think everyone is practically in agreement. Let in unfold as it is.

Good question. But probably answers itself. Eyes fixed.

The 'Demons' new found competitive aggression
Skuit replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
And that should be the focus of our marketing. Melbourne - we're not brown and gold. -
I've just changed perspective on this after having a look at the original ad and the promotional poster. The cheese factor is so high that it's clearly tongue-in-cheek ironic. And the 'horses' karaoke is surely designed to take the pi55 out of their Hawthorn bunnies. Should win a few hipster memberships. Supporting Ninthmond is inherently ironic.
