Proof of the club's progression is in the OP pudding. Usually by round 5 we no longer have a season to further define.

What does Caro have to say about Hardwick's current job security?
-
There's probably a thread on Yellow and Black now highlighting how delusional Dees supporters are in thinking we could possibly lose to them . . .
-
He's not quick but seems to have a good sense of when to release. Often looks like he's about to be closed down but nails the pass without rushing.
-
The reason he doesn't get due recognition from opposition punters is because half the time when he gets it the commentators credit Garlett.
-
Thought he played well and with a lot of confidence against North. Assume he was the one responsible for allowing Varcoe to initially drag the Pies back into the contest?
-
I'm glad you agree with my analysis on elite hand-balling strategy Petraccattack.
-
He broke the first rule of film by staring straight into the camera. Though I really felt like we connected in that moment.
-
There have been sections of hand-balling in the past couple weeks that rival the best of any team. This new strategy of moving to receive is genius.
-
It's not that they hate him. They just don't bother blowing the whistle because they know he's not going to stick around to take the kick. They should treat Jack like a terrier when adjudicating advantage and assume he doesn't have the capacity to stay of his own accord.
-
The first line should apply to anyone. The second goes beyond just journalism but illustrates his poor form in any professional capacity. His full-time job is reporting on the AFL. I find it staggering that over the course of a couple years he hadn't once taken an interest in checking out a #3 draft pick.

I thought after the first break it was the greatest intensity Collingwood brought all year. We didn't adjust our style accordingly (overuse) but we didn't get overwhelmed or drop our intensity too much either which was pleasing.
-
Think that was Jeff Garlett. Big $$$ AFL goes to all the trouble of mandated pressers and still can't spring for some decent mics. Interview = dialogue.
-
We'll be challenging for 9th spot on the ladder next week. Expect Richmond to come out firing.
-
I feel for Vanders. We mobilised our forward line this week and it worked. The really noticeable thing in the first quarter was the space up front. He may get squeezed out for now without having had the opportunity to fully play within such a structure.
-
The difficulty with Brayshaw. I thought he got better as the day went on. Maybe just still adjusting to the rhythm and pace of AFL? Would dropping him back down to the 2's be a disservice then?

Two quick questions re. umpiring decisions. The touched off the boot Treloar point that went to the goal review after a marking contest. Is this within the laws of review system? It seems if a field umpire calls touched then it could have an impact on the following contest. And the Frost free on the 3/4 time. Pedo picks up the ball after the free is awarded and is absolutely dumped. Can 50m be awarded to the kicker if a teammate is impinged in the process of returning the ball? Just curious (Read: I was one of those with a chunk of cash on a 39+ win).
-
A few were questioning the inclusion of Pedo by suggesting he had no real match-up. If you switch perspectives, his inclusion may have been with a view to gaining an advantage with the Pies having no real match-up. Now we see them copping a fine to bring White in. Suggests we're dictating terms.

I missed exactly half our wins last year while in transit (*first half against Collingwood) . . . Good omen perhaps.

Bombay, this post is the literary equivalent of a Lumumba possession.

This. If anyone is struggling to see our progression, this is the difference compared to recent previous years.
-
Well, one of them pushed the Pies out to $2 on special. Does that suggest something?

What did Misson do to Garlett and Watts?

WJ is already sharpening the legal pencils. Should we be extra concerned?
