  3. Such a good opportunity for the 22 today. Lost 3 in a row, backs against the wall, undermanned, owe the bombers for last years game, playing to show respect for a mates fallen father, playing to put us back in the race for finals.

They don't need any more inspiration. The leaders must take this game on their backs and steer us to victory.

Jones, Lewis and Vince to step up. Viney to shut out Merrett. Tmac to get one back on Joe.

Im backing us to play 4 quarters.

  4. Jesse needs to take his time for his family, so obviously won't play this week.

Melbourne have no option but to play a mosquito fleet this week and use it to their advantage.

Outs: Jesse - Smith - Spencer - Harmes

Ins: Lewis - Pedo - Kent - Kennedy

    Fwds:

    Kent - Trac - JKH

    Garlett - Watts(R) - Kennedy

Would you consider deleting this thread?  I haven't seen the video but based on comments/strong innuedno above, which may be totally untrue, it has shades of the Bennell in Tas hotel and Carlisle in the states stories and they both ended very badly for player and club.

Jesse and the club certainly don't need the distraction.

Journo's are more likely to get wind of a story on DL than on less well moderated forums.

    Your call GWTW

More than happy for the mods to delete if they see fit. They're more experienced in this sort of stuff.

Although, most of the social media presences have shared the video already.

  6. A new video of Jesse has surfaced, at the festival, where he is dancing and looks under the influence of something.

It will do the rounds, and MFC will have to respond again.

How the media are not leaving him alone through obviously a very tough period in his life, is beyond me. He is clearly going through the toughest time now, and every time they support idiots videoing this stuff by purchasing the content, etc, is only hurting him more.

The vast majority of the AFL media are sick and pathetic, and have no duty of care for the people/families they hurt.

  7. Ins: Lewis - Pedo - Bugg

Outs: Spencer - Smith - Harmes

    ------

FB: Jetta - Frost - Hibberd

HB: Hunt - TMAC - Lewis

    C: Vince - N.Jones - Salem

HF: Trac - Hogan - ANB

FF: Garlett - Watts - JKH

    R: Pedo - Viney - Oliver

    I: Tyson - Bugg - Stretch - Melksham

  8. It kinda has the same feeling as the build up to round one game against the saints, doesn't it?

Speculation around if we are good enough, and general public opinion is 60/40 towards the opposition being better.

I love the statement that the boys put out especially in the second and third quarter of round 1, so let's hope they will follow suit and respond in the same manner.

I have a feeling Viney has set himself for this game, and wants to show the AFL he can be one of the best leaders of the next 10 years.

  9. 22 looking like:

    Jetta - Frost - Melksham

    Hibberd - T-Mac - Hunt

    Vince - N.Jones - Stretch

    Trac - Hogan - ANB

    Garlett - Watts - Harmes

    Spencer - Viney - Salem

Oliver - TBC (Tyson) - TBC (Kent) - TBC (JKH/Pedo)

    TBCs: Tyson - Kent - JKH - Bugg - Weid - Hannan - Pedo - Trengove - Oscar - Gus - Kennedy

  10. If we look at this logically, Hannan is due for a rest.

Weid is carrying a corked thigh and has been down in his performance of late.

They are the two close to certainty outs.

    -----------

Hogan is an automatic inclusion if fit.

Hibberd is an automatic inclusion if fit.

    ----------

Pedersen got 29 touches and a goal in a losing side.

JKH provides much needed speed, goal pressure and forward line tackling pressure.

No one else from the VFL should be considered based on form and skills required in the 22.

    ----------

    B: Jetta - Frost - Hibberd

    HB: Hunt - T-Mac - Vince

    C: Salem - Viney - Stretch

HF: Trac - Watts - ANB

FF: Garlett - Hogan - Kent

    R: Spencer - N.Jones - Tyson

    I: Oliver - TBD - TBD - TBD

For the last 3 spots on the bench --> Melksham, Harmes, Bugg, Pedo, JKH

I'd go with Melksham for backline help, Pedo for 2nd ruck, Harmes for fwd/mid rotations

  11. Ins: Hogan - Hibberd - Ped (29 touches is a great effort for a ruck/fwd -- deserves his chance)

Outs: Weid - Hannan - Bugg

    ---------------------------------------------------------

    FB: Jetta - T-Mac (Jack.R) - Hunt

HB: Hibberd - Frost - Salem

    C: Vince - N.Jones - Stretch

HF: Trac - Hogan - Kent

    FF: Garlett - Watts - Pedo (R)

R: Spencer - Oliver - Viney (Tag Martin)

    I: Tyson - ANB - Harmes - Melksham

    E: Bugg - Gus - Hannan

  12. Outs: Gawn - Hannan

    Ins: Spencer - Brayshaw

    -----------

FB: Jetta - Oscar - Melksham

    HB: Hunt - T.Mac - Salem

    C: Stretch - N.Jones - Brayshaw

HF: Trac - Watts - ANB

FF: Garlett - Smith - Kent

    R: Spencer - Viney - Oliver

    I: Vince - Harmes - Tyson - Weideman

    E: Bugg - Pedo - Frost

  13. Knee would have been much worse. Best case, no surgery and we see him in 6 weeks. Worst case, we don't see him until the final few games of the year.

Imagine if we are gearing up for a finals run and we get our AA back into the 22.

Gawn isn't the first most important player to go down, plenty of teams have replaced and prevailed.

Lets see what Goodwins Demons can really do with their backs against the wall.

That is what Goodwin said more or less: "We'll get him assessed and get the full results tomorrow (Sunday). The medical team have done a terrific job with our group over a couple of years now so it'll be a standard four weeks and hopefully get him back as quick as we can."

I wasn't saying it won't be a month, just saying that Max didn't sound optimistic in his interview earlier today.

Meeting a surgeon on Monday. He's gone for a few months now... it's not just a simple strain.

If the club weren't sure then they would say 'we need to wait on the scans' or something like that.  They wouldn't be talking about a timelines if they needed to check it out.  You can tell if it's a strain or a tear without needing a scan.

I think the longer the club waits to provide an update, the worse the outlook.

Maxy looked very uncomfortable when he came off, looked worse than the standard strain.
