In 1972 or maybe 1975, the last 20 × 3 votes read out were all from players in contention.  So the 'Knowledge' of who had won was in my opinion, known

So if people reckon it isn't hunky dory now, take a look back ... way back

Jack Hamilton was the one who held back the likely 3 votes at the table.  Just to max out the nostalgia.

I was ridiculing those who think that they can persuade members to attend by slagging off at them  That only works if they have something to cow them with.

Easily done.  The club knows how many times the card/phone was scanned for each membership.  Just refuse to renew their membership if too low.  They may well have other interests or family duties preventing attendance but are renewing out of loyalty.  So win-win if MFC knock them back.

It is worth remembering that Geelong in 2005ish and Hawthorn (?) had reviews.  The coaches hated them but were premiership coaches several years later.
