Not overly happy with the changes. Surely Brown had to come in. What the hell has Smith done? If Melksham didn't get suspended he'd be in. Tomlinson how many chances does he need to prove that he's NQR. Turner should be in look to the future. Not confident in this game at all. If we lose to Carlton it will be completely unacceptable and will spell the beginning of the end for Goodwin. Can't drop this game.

I never ever agree with you ...... damn!

Sure we haven't lost a Coleman medalist, but we have (on goal stats) in effect lost our leading gaol kicker of the last few years, Fritta, whose form and output has been way below his best.   Injury?  Opposition worked him out?  Even worse delivery forward than in previous years?

Players cutting across his leading lane doesn't help. I was still seeing him ice his foot in the rooms 4 weeks ago but haven't seen a replay since so I don't know if that's still occurring. He did kick 2.2 last week and would have had 3 if not for Spargo. So he might be on the improve. I think the 10 day break before KB might do him good.

Not sure if you caught up with the latest on this.

With a GA membership and having purchased a 'guest pass' the club will send a link to acquire a complimentary 'ground entry pass'.

So your daughter can enjoy the game with you on level 2.

If you haven't received the link in the coming days give the club a call.

Thanks, no I hadn't caught up with that, very pleased if it has been sorted. I had a quick look at my emails and haven't received anything yet. How did you hear about it?

There’s no presence, like comparing Jack Watts and Jonathan Brown. Same size, same skills…..very different outcome. Jefferson doesn’t have Watts skills either.

I'm fascinated by the comparison and the 20/20 hindsight. So you saw presence in Brown and none in Watts in the first 6months of their respective careers. Can you give a more detailed explanation of "presence" or is it just a vibe?

Relax, I’d love the kid to make it. I just look at him play and see nothing special.

Just so I don't offend you; what are your expectations of a 19yr old, 195cm, 86kg forward in the first year? What makes the same player a bust in your myopic view.

It’s not a shot at him. Sure I said it bluntly but that’s how I’m feeling today. I watch him play and I don’t see it. He just doesn’t have that presence of a key foward. Oh and I’m in Healesville but my place is worth a bit!

Well yes, it is a shot at him. I am pretty sure you can get a treatment for being premature and I hope you get yours.

My view after watching the last 2 games

Jefferson a bust….I’ll sell my house if he makes it

    Woewodin almost good enough

    Schache uninspiring but maybe needed

Brown cooked like the last snag on the bbq at 10pm on GF night

    Sestan miles away

    MW never make it

Turner play him in the ones FFS

    Melksham yesterdays news

oh and to top the weekend off I think Gawn might be cooked. I love big Maxy but we saw what we saw the last fortnight.

Whereabouts?  I might be interested. I'd expect it would be pretty cheap just like your shots at a 19yr old.

right so you need to ring up and book a seat or your membership wont get you in the gate

    No, No, No.

Do you have a Membership Card that has a seat allocation printed on it?

Sorry, some Redleg Members don't have an allocated seat but an area on level 2 where they can sit and of course they can also sit or stand in the Ryder or Hassett rooms.

I don't boo players, only umpires. But if I did boo I would boo but I won't be booing because I don't boo.

Sorry but I do boo players who commit low acts, especially behind the ball.

I think I will just shout DOG! Whenever Jackson gets near the ball.

You're either with us or against us, so "DOG" is completely appropriate in my view.

Well said rj. Ports pattern is target max because it worked before in 2019 and other times.  . Hinkleys predictable . Where's rod Grinter when we need him

Actually, I want Moose back and then picked up Mid Season Draft

  11. I've read through most of the posts on this thread and I think a lot of what is being said regarding Gawn's current demeanor, during games, has relevance. I've seen the same in recent times and it has started to look a lot like "woe is me". That's a very slippery slope as a leader.

I often rail about the lack of umpiring that allows some of the things done to Max go unchecked but Max doesn't have the same luxury, he's the Captain.

Someone and I mean Goody, needs to speak to him and explain that this is the way things are. I know that complaints about this have fallen on deaf ears at the AFL. That isn't going to change but the one thing Max can control is his own reactions to this.

Good to hear. I presume they will argue Hunter was moving towards the ball and then stopped and turned as Rozee lurched fwd to hit the ball away. Effectively he cannoned into Hunter.

Plus the impact level was not medium as he went on to star in the game.

At least thats how I saw it.

If you freeze the clip at the beginning of the 3 sec. mark, you can clearly see Hunter trying to stop his momentum. All his weight and body positioning is trying to go away from Rozzie. At the same time there is about a metre between them and Rozzie is not looking at the ball but at Hunter.

I'm becoming more and more convinced that Christian views and reports these incidents while watching the footage in real time and listening to the "expert" commentary.  Either that or he's just not that bright.

9-2 free kicks in the last quarter, it would be foolish to say that it didn't have an impact when the game was on the line.

Won't deny that port were the better team for most if not all of that first half but when the game was in the balance gee the men in green did everything they could to get the power over the line.

Our travelling record and performances interstate this season are very concerning and our clearance work is just nowhere near where it could/should be with the midfield we've got.

I thought they were puss yellow?

Earlier this year a friend had the same problem and the club organised a paper entry which was collected at the membership office near gate 3 on the day of the game.  In addition, the digital barcode appeared in the mfc mobile app which could have also being used for entry. So under normal circumstances entry to the G is simple even without a card.

For the KB game, we just have to wait and see what the club comes up with re GA membership + Guest Pass.  I have two guests in this category for the KB game so am keenly interested in the outcome.

I'm confident they will find a solution that means we don't have to buy Reserve seats for guests (which I did last night to be on the safe side)

    Says it all really.

Nope everything’s GA as at the time general admission tickets were selling!
They’re Collingwood anyway so they can stay home! Haha

I hope you weren't going to sit with them anyway!

what about ga members who are ok or even prefer to stand?

Need an allocated seat to get in. This is the problem I have at the moment as Guest Passes apply to a seating "area" not individual seats.

My friends got a general admission ticket and unsure what happens now? Can they still get in with it? It’s so confusing what to do

I am assuming they are not MFC or CFC members.

That  ticket/s will gain entry into the ground at the appropriate gate and they can go to their seat/s directly.
The confusion is because all GA members ticket holders who are MFC or CFC members have had to upgrade to a reserved seat to secure admission to the ground rather than gain entry by their card.
If they want to they can ring MFC  Membership Dept on 03 9652 1155 to double check this information.

    Cheers and enjoy the game

It's also to stop walk ups on the day. Hopefully a lot of Woods supporters (not very smart obviously) who turn up and expect to purchase a ticket at the gate will be very unhappy. As the tickets are from Ticketek the MFC Membership Team wont be able to help.

  18. 1 minute ago, Dee Zephyr said:

Personally, I think it's wrong charging members for an upgrade regardless the level of membership.

Problem is with how many Woods unwashed want to go to the game but I agree. For many years I went GA because I would always stand (due to back injury). I never needed a "reserved seat".

Short answer "no". Long answer; depends, is it a "ticket" purchased some time ago through Ticketmaster? Or a GA Membership?

  20. 24 minutes ago, Doug Reemer said:

Problem is the guest pass is only to get into the members area and normally you also need a GA to get in.

So I think they’ll combine the 2 and make it $55 to come into the members area?

I purchased a 3 game membership for our daughter at the start of the month as part of the Kozzie promo. While I was at it I booked and payed for a KB Redleg guest pass ($30). I rang the Membership team this morning as the Membership card has not arrived yet. They still don't have any advice regarding entry to the ground for this situation. They have been on the back foot as the MCG has sprung this on the Club and it caught everyone by surprise. If I have to pay extra for a "Reserve Seat" ticket I'll be annoyed but as long as I can get the daughter on level 2, I will do whatever I need to do.
