With Garland on the other wing?
-
I hope I haven't opened the flood gates here... I had the joke before I thought to put it into the CSI meme. You gotta get the joke, HT...
-
Says more about his colleagues and our year than Colin...
-
Edit... he is a competitive tap ruckman who is lucky enough to have a AA ruckman in his way, Max Gawn at his heals, and a knee requiring reconstruction. He may not stick around beyond 2012 but he isn't.... edit. And you are not living up to your moniker here. Yoda would not say these things...

If you don't understand it, you never will... Or...wait, I think that's jazz...yeah, it's jazz. Schwab apparently bought an $80k desk in his first stint as CEO of the Dees. I haven't been able to get that confirmed, but it's become a bit of a larf around here. We have developed our own meme's and it feels good.

-
But would have gone in the first few picks, and has the mentality and desire for the hard footy that we wouldn't get at the pick we will use on him.
-
I don't know when that kid lied, or if he did. But I can tell you that Beamer never [censored] on a bar. Occasionally, SEN callers embellish the truth.
-
He actually didn't [censored] on any bar. That wasn't true. I have a problem with Colin not because of this minor incident but because of his lack of professionalism for the IR team for which he was keen to play for apparently. His lack of professionalism is what holds him back and that is most definitely our problem.
-
Whether or not it should - Colin's actions reflect on those around him - that's life. And that doesn't make the incident from many years ago relevant.
-
Why mention the unrelated incident with a former girlfriend? It has little relevance. And my point was that Colin has such a low bar with some of us that we are genuinely appeased by the fact he had the good sense not to drive.
-
The will come down with next year hopefully as it will take a high draft pick and we have two extra and other clubs don't. And Viney is a freebie.
-
We either trade or get to the pointy end of a draft - the best chance to get to the pointy end of a draft is with the mini-draft.
-
What I will agree on is that it is reprehensible that the paper referenced Colin's previous incident with a former girlfriend. Just very cynical and in poor taste.
-
I am not talking about your view. Others have certainly minimised and while you criticise those that sensationalise, I have criticised those that minimise. As for the extrapolation to HWL - it's an interesting juxtaposition. All I could defend myself is with the last line in your post.
-
And fans to dismiss/minimise...
-
"You still have a clean slate, but you better have your arse up and your head down because I am looking to make an example of someone."
-
At some level, many suggestions on this thread are unrealistic...
-
The facts are he couldn't drive his own car home because he was drinking the night before, and got kicked off the IR team for poor professionalism. And I agree that these are minor indiscretions. What I have a problem with are those that are simply excusing his behaviour entirely. He's on his break. The IR means nothing. He wasn't driving home - he did the right thing. Why should he stick around for the police? Call him an idiot and move on (that's all he is), but don't give him excuses.
-
Yes, and what a low bar Colin has to reach now... "You went out drinking before IR training and couldn't drive your own car home and you left the scene after your car damaged property?" "But you weren't driving!!" "Who's a good boy?!" "That's right, Colin is a good boy!"
-
PR is required BS. Deal with it.
-
I would activate both but look to trade them. I want to trade those picks for an established star. Failing that I would like to use the mini-draft to get the best kid in a albeit smaller draft pool. We need star quality and these are the only surefire avenues available to get that star quality.
-
He certainly did drink otherwise he would have been driving... It was his BMW. Oh, well done Colin - you didn't drink and drive!! Now if we can just get you to not commit to things you don't care about and not leave the scene where your car damages property - you'll be coming along nicely!
-
Yes, I would prefer, however, that he simply decline beforehand and say to Mr Anderson - "Sorry Adrian. I have plans to get so 'right' that I am unable to even drive my car home the following morning, and that morniing happens to be a training day for the IR team."
