TDI, what's your gut feel about Howe re-signing or requesting a trade? -
When was the last time we lost 16 in a row?I'm scared this could happen. Not that I expect to beat GWS in rd 2, but I reckon we have a better chance of beating them than GC.

When does the coach start taking the blame?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
If and when we lose to the Dogs in round 8 and cop our 18th loss in a row, is when I'd probably start blaming the coach. -
If his foot does come good I really hope he chooses to stay with us. It would be perfectly understandable if he requested a change of scenary, particularly given that he was nearly traded to Richmond.

If we can't beat a team comprising at least 15 Essendon VFL players, how can we expect to beat a team that contains at least 15 genuinly classy AFL players?

Yeah I see Viney as being our Matt Suckling with that elite left foot coming out of defence. -

When does the coach start taking the blame?
Bring-Back-Powell replied to joeboy's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm beginning to hate his game plan. Can someone tell me the benefits of slow inside 50 forward entries? It just gives the opposition a chance to flood our defensive 50. It's also the most boring brand of footy I've seen from Melbourne since I first started watching them in 1990. I'd just be kicking to Garlett one on one as fast as possible and as many times as possible. I will give him a lot of credit though for his recruiting strategy and recruits from other clubs over the last 2 years. -

The Good The bad and the very F Ugly
Bring-Back-Powell replied to picket fence's topic in Melbourne Demons
I thought his inside 50 entries were ok when kicking to the key targets.Made a few school boy errors which tarnished his game. -
Jeff Garlett court appearance
Bring-Back-Powell replied to LegsLeoncelli's topic in Melbourne Demons
I read the title and I presumed he'd be going to the clink, knowing our luck. Maybe he should go to court more often on match day as he was excellent tonight. -
Two New Directors Appointed to Board

We could put Jesus H Christ on the board and it still wouldn't fix the weekly trainwrecks. -

Did Tyson have the worst 27 touch game ever? The bloke's disposal has been D grade this pre season. -
Which makes tonight's match huge for us.We need the percentage to jump into the 8.

Doggies in betting scandal over Ballarat game v Demons
Bring-Back-Powell replied to Satan's topic in Melbourne Demons
How stupid are these Bulldogs players? Betting on Melbourne to win a game. -
Agree with that.GC would have to have about 10 out in order for us to have a good chance of winning. Melbourne simply don't win games.

That was totally unacceptable to lose to St Kilda with Montagna, Hayes, Steven amongst others missing. Ablett will probably play even if he's not ready while O'Meara will miss I reckon.

Tom Lynch is a very handy out.

And loyal and good character too. Not like his ex mates in Frawley, Rivers and Clark who wanted to chase a cheap win or 2.
