  1. Honestly I lost interest in the brownlow a while ago. It very rarely gives an accurate representation of who the best player was in a given season.

I doubt that anyone thought that Neale was the best player last year. Same goes for Wines in 2021.

  2. Yeah I find it really stupid when people put the covid tag next to the '21 flag. Port Adelaide and Brisbane were gifted home finals while we had to travel to Adelaide and Perth despite finishing on top of the ladder. If anything, I think that alone made our premiership much more impressive.

I've been as frustrated as hell by our performance since the flag but we were clearly the best team in '21 whichever way you look at it.

  3. For some reason most opinions on Goodwin on this site have to go from one extreme to another.

Fwiw, I don't see him as a genius or a fraud. I think he's a solid coach with various deficiencies. It's perfectly fine to be neutral on him.

I was talking about last year - we didn't even have Billings. The whole point of my post was about hindsight.

Agree. Not to mention that Hunter was solid last year while Jordon was struggling.

I know you were. WCW just said she didn't like him. Nothing more, nothing less. You are upset because "she behaved in a way that didn't suit you." You are arguing with yourself. Getting back to my question that you conveniently haven't answered. If a poster said they didn't like him, how is that assassinating his character?

The problem is that you are 'conveniently' misinterpreting the post I made. I was referring to the toxic behaviour across this site rather than one specific poster. I can't believe I need to keep explaining this to you.

And no, saying you don't like someone is not a character assassination but saying that he "puts himself before the club" is. And I find it disingenuous that many of the people who have attacked Trac are the same ones who lecture others when they raise questions about our on field performances.

That good enough for you legend?

Wow. All she said was that she didn't like him. Is that assassinating his character? Aren't you a sensitive soul.

Lol if you took the time to actually read my post you'd see that I was referring to the broad set of people on this site who have been taking snarky pot shots at him just because he hasn't been behaving in a way that suits them.

    Nice try though genius

A lot of people say WCW is too positive, and say that she should recognise *insert whatever issue with the club and/or player here*.  The one time WCW expresses her opinion about a player and it is negative... you all see it as a licence to dig the boots in?

Regardless of one's opinion of Trac - if you're a poster who is often expressing criticism (whether rightly or not) about the club and players, and demanding that your opinion is respected... how about recognising WCW's right to an opinion?!

Tbf it's one thing to critique a player's on- field performances, but assassinating their character is something else entirely. As @Dr. Gonzosaid, I'd say it's far worse.

Fwiw, I can see why some people are disassfied with the way Trac has handled the whole situation, but some of criticisms aimed at him have been over the top and, quite frankly, embarrassing.

It kinda feels like propaganda in a USA Disney rally.

The Trac show on a bus around the MFC.

Pull your head Trac. Stay away from social media. You have a lot to prove, do it in other ways!

    He really doesn't

I don't buy it. It's not about gameplan or execution, our players actually play timid against the filth. There is no intent behind their movement, they should be tackling to hurt the opposition, swarming them etc

The club must put their footy down and say, regardless of what happens moving forward we will not lose to Collingwood again. Play with some ferociousness and they don't like it, they only like it when they can bully other sides. Turn the tables and they go to water.

I'm being selective but I can remember in the 2018 EF against Geelong (a side that had bullied us for years) we were absolutely ruthless and it was obvious from the opening bounce that they were the ones who were spooked.

It would be great if we could bring that sort of mongrel next time we play Collingwood.

I think it would be because Clarry hasn't leaked to the media and also the tone of the criticism of Clarry has, at times, been pretty low-brow.

I agree that some people have been overly critical of Oliver but I also think that the animosity towards Trac has been over the top.

  11. I find it hilarious how people are so quick to say that Trac needs to grow up but when people say the same thing about Oliver they get completely shot down.

This site can be very selective of who you can and can't criticise.

  12. Some personal highlights:

Viney: Was incredible. Carried the midfield on his back in the absence of Oliver, Trac and Sparrow. His determination was next level.

Langdon: Thought his first quarter was poor but he was excellent afterwards. Played a very 2021 like game

Petty: Best game since his 6 goal haul last year. I'd still prefer him to play down back next year but he looked much more comfortable today.

Turner: Easily the best game of his career. We definitely have something to work with there.

Fritsch: Underrated game. Stats weren't huge but he was very team oriented today. His kicking inside the f50 was elite.
