Unfortunately this isn’t an isolated incident, DZ. Similar has happened before. But we always somehow manage to avert disaster. At one BBQ at Gosch’s two BBQs we’d ordered for delivery at 8am didn’t arrive until 10:15am. In the meantime though, a couple of members ducked out and brought a BBQ from home. We always find a way. ❤️💙 Sincere thanks to you and indeed everyone who enjoyed our wares. Happy to say we made a great profit and y’all look out for new flags n giant heads this season! Also happy and proud to report our cake stall and raffles made $2300 which goes straight to BBB’s Chop The Mop cause. 💕

Wow, sounds like Family Day was fun! I wouldn’t know since I didn’t see any of the happenings described in the above posts. Which is fantastic because it means that we were absolutely flat out for the entire time. We literally did not stop for a solid three-hour period. A couple of hours beforehand to set up and a couple of hours afterwards to clean/pack up. I didn’t get home until 4:30. But totes worth it. More giant heads on the horizon! Speaking of, what happens to giant heads of players who leave us? I’m glad I asked! We raffle them. And look who got to come home with me! No surprise since I reckon I bought 95% of the tickets. 😁 PS: to the ‘Landers who came by to say hello… I’m sorry if I appeared rude but as mentioned above we were under the pump the entire time and I simply couldn’t take a break. But thanks all the same for coming by.

This morning a supermarket which shall remain nameless (COLES!) messed up and didn’t have our 1000-sausage order when our awesome and very patient leader arrived to pick them up. She put the call out and in typical Demon Army fashion, our dedicated members stopped at supermarkets on their way to Yarra Park and bought up whatever sausages were on the shelves. So if you’re looking to buy snags today don’t be surprised if there’s none in your local Coles/Woollies. 😂 Final shameless plug: please come and buy a sausage in bread and/or a cake. We depend on days such as this. Those giant heads don’t grow on trees, ya know. Imagine if they did, though. That’d be amazing! JUST GET YOURSELF TO OURS!!!

DON’T FORGET TO BRING AN EMPTY BELLY TO FAMILY DAY TOMORROW… … AND COME VISIT THE DEMON ARMY TENT! We will have competition, though. There’ll be two food trucks: one with pizza, the other with burgers and chips. I’m sure they’ll cook up a storm and their food will be delish, but for more bang for your buck - or bangER for your buck see what I did there - you simply can’t go past our BBQ and cake stall. Our prices are more than reasonable and ALL proceeds from the cake stall will be donated to the Challenge Cancer charity (loveya BBB). Besides, who’s eating pizza and burgers at 10am?! Apart from ppl who’ve been out on the turps all night and/or ppl who are partial to hardened arteries, amirite?! This is just one example of the deliciousness that’ll be available… They taste as good as they look. And I know. I’ve had more of these than I care to remember. There’ll be a big selection of cakes of all shapes and sizes. And we’ll be selling merch. So please come and support us!!!

Yes, when there was two of them in the pre-season. To make way for the extra round this season (Gather Round) there’ll only be one official practice match, ours being vs Richmond next weekend. Tomorrow’s match is unofficial.

I hear ya, R! I’m walking around with a fractured foot as we speak. Mine’s got nothing to do with getting trampled on at training and everything to do with running in platform sandals while drunk at our girls’ Best n fairest. Seriously though, Fritta does have a history of healing well and healing well ahead of time. ❤️💙

I mean, they don’t have a team of 100 private eyes scouring DL with a fine-tooth comb 24/7 or anything. But it would be remiss of them to not be aware of what’s happening on forums such as DL. And they must have no problem with DL because if they did, I’m sure Andy would know about it.

The crying emoji is because I can’t share anything. (If you think the Club don’t keep an eye on DL, think again.) Though I’m sure it’s fine for me to say it’s indeed not too serious. 🙂
