Training is at Gosch’s tomorrow at 9:30am. But of course that’s subject to change. It’s a shame you can’t make it to the practice match on Friday, but there’s the Family Day on Saturday if you’re still in Melbourne! Not only can you see the boys live, but you can meet them and get autographs, watch BBB’s head transformation, and the highlight of the day… you can indulge in the delicious fare the Demon Army will have on offer. Who doesn’t love a sausage in bread of a Saturday morning?! And you think you’ve had the best cakes ever at some point in your life?! Think again! Our cakes (the cupcakes in particular) are next level delicious. We’ll also be selling merch, so… jump on it!!! #ShamelessPlugMuch? 😁

Except they’re not. If they were, he’d never play another game in the AFL, such is the frequency and unpredictability of urine testing, as well as the nature of drug addiction. Drug addiction can’t be turned on and off at will when it suits. He clearly doesn’t have a drug problem. In all likelihood he was “doing drugs” purely and simply because he enjoys it. But we won’t be told as much. We’ll be told that it’s a mental health issue or as you say it’s to mask deeper personal problems, the zeitgeist. Because once this card is played, he’s off-limits in terms of being judged. And this is where the damage is done because this is misinformation, especially for young people who really should be told that it is possible (even if not advisable) to indulge in illicit substances on occasion WITHOUT it meaning they have serious underlying problems. Of course, kids won’t ever be told this because it’s seen as condonation. But these kids who look up to the likes of Ginnivan are being misled and must wonder why it’s acceptable to have a drink on occasion for enjoyment without it meaning there’s serious issues being covered up, but not so for recreational drugs.

I’m just happy that the YoPRO announcement came after we received our 2023 DA shirts. Not sure there’d be space for another sponsor’s logo… 😁 Just on the subject of polo shirts… up ‘til now, I’ve successfully managed to dodge the polo bullet (not a fan). Schools, jobs, whatever. Never had to wear one. I once quit a job because they decided to make polos the uniform. (I was thinking of leaving anyways, the introduction of polos just made the decision easier.) But now that’s all changed, for I am about to don a polo. The MFC is the only reason I’d be seen in one. *sigh* the things one does for one’s club.

Without giving too much away, DS: I’m not entirely knowledgeable about the thing that links these players.
