What about AMW and KFW as our two, as yet uncapped, hyphenated ones?

Seriously though.
Wasn't the AFL going to review the NGA rules and make them a bit more friendly towards the southern states?

I hope Tim Lamb gets along well with JUH’s manager.
We definitely need another player with a hyphenated name.

I’m very much with you Whispering. Over the years, I took refuge in programs like The Coodabeens because I suppose that if my team wasn’t good enough, it was okay to laugh at its place in the game. So I laughed at the stereotypes like the stuffy private school educated Ivan from Ivanhoe and the snow goers. All of a sudden, we became a super strong club and won a premiership and we no longer had the need to laugh at ourselves. Still, I will miss them for their entertainment value.

Primary. AFL did away with needing to announce rookie upgrades at the draft a few years ago.
Sounds like they also did away with needing to announce them to the general public and supporters as well.

What's Daniel Turner's status now? Is he a primary listed player or a rookie?

Has he been re-contracted?

According to Kane Cornes, Essendon wants a first round pick for Zirk-Thatcher.

Collingwood’s trading turned out to be outstanding and went a long way to them winning the premiership.
Brodie Grundy on the other hand, was something else.

Zane Duursma has been running into a rich vein of form at the right end of the season. The word is that the Hawks will grab him at Pick 3.

125 pages. Wowee. Well done Demonland, and just about perfectly played Freo (minus round 11).
Absolutely our low point in the discussion when we hoisted ourselves on our own petard, cost ourselves a place in the draft order and a possible home game in the first week of the finals.

No chance of port losing to the tigers
So play hard, go for the win but don’t kill yourselves.
The latter part of the season has been one of constant surprises. The Tigers appear to have checked out but I wouldn’t be ruling out yet another surprise in this case.

Orlando Turner is a lightly built small forward who is in Melbourne’s NGA through our Alice Springs connection.
PROFILED | The 2023 title-winning Allies squad
#20 Orlando Turner
Small Forward | 16/05/2005 | 176cm | 67kg
A National Academy member with nice upside and a bag of tricks, Turner helped ensure the Northern Territory would be aptly represented in the carnival with his two games. He was rotated after gathering six disposals in game one, but returned in game four against Vic Country and booted two goals from eight touches – the second of which both iced the game and the title.- 3

These are Rookie Me Central’s top 5 draft sliders for 2023 and they include a player who impressed when he trained with the club as one of two AFL Academy work experience trainees in the pre season.

That would be Cooper Simpson. I was wondering what happened to him.

Roos are a real wildcard here.
They could get draft assistance either through the pre-listing of Sanders and the massaging of McKays FA compensation if he leaves.
McKay leaving could leave them with either picks 2 and 3, 2 and 11, or 2 and 19.
(Compensation being immediately after first pick, mid-first round, end of 1st round)
If they can pre-list Sanders and Callinan through draft assistance I can't see the AFL massaging any FA compo and will most likely net them an end of First round or 2nd round compensation pick. So pick 19 or pick 21.
They have a lot of capital to play with here including a valuable future 1st which will appeal.
North came close to beating a top 8 side in St Kilda and they nearly knocked off the Bombers when they played them. They’ve been struggling but not enough to be gifted a top five player in addition to their pick 2. If anyone needs special assistance this year based on performance, it’s the Eagles.

Hoping we can parlay pick 4 and our other top picks including possibly future round 1 into 2023 pick 1 for Reid, leaving us with 23 as well, a later pick or rookie for Kynan Brown plus Orlando Turner as a rookie selection. That gives us a very solid draft plus we still have some untried talent like Jefferson, Howes, Adams, Sestan, Moniz-Wakefield, Deakyn Smith and Will Verrall coming through the ranks at Casey.

As I understand it, Grundy was locked in to play for Casey one more time so that’s where he plays again this week.
Nobody has explained to me why the Petty to key forward experiment was abandoned after he did so well before he was injured in the first half vs Hawthorn. He plays there in place of BBB this week.
Bowey looked injured in yesterday’s game and it would not surprise if he was declared unfit for a couple of weeks due to a flesh wound or other mystery ailment. To be replaced by Hibberd who was outstanding in the VFL.
In summary:
In: Hibberd, Petty
Out: Bowey (injured), Brown (omitted)

The bloke who played on the other wing to Robbie is technically a closer comparison is Alan Johnson who was equally fast.
