From what i have seen take Vickery he played a brilliant game against W.a smashed niknat tackled hard hits targets hand and foot and also marks very well and judges the flight of the ball. Also Jack Watts does not want to play afl or he can't because he will be expelled. So take Vickery.

sorry i meant sanfl and vfl . He was delisted because geelong had nathan ablett, tom lonergan, tom hawkins, cameron mooney and all those forwards so no room in the salary cap and look what happened to geelong. They delist players and the vfl team goes from premiers to not making finals
-
Sorry he is 21 not 22 as i previously stated. Very much worth a risk.
-
It would be worth it. He is only 22 has size and talent and can kick bags and is proven at afl and vfl level he made vfl team of the year last year. Worth the risk instead of some 18 year old who might be a dud

Granted Andrew Lee may not be the greatest but Todd Grima is a good player and someone tall and well built is what we need and he will be a steal use a very late pick.
-
Thoughts anybody ?

OK i have two players who will not cost anything and can be late draft picks or even PSD 1) Toddy Grima, Was cut by Geelong because of salary cap but was in their vfl premireship side and has a lot of potential. Very good player for KP and is playing very very well in the SANFL. Both his brothers on afl lists atm and he deserves to be given another chance because he will be a very good player. Also a very humble guy and a great bloke as i played at North Launceston with him a few years back. 2) Andrew Lee, recently cut by Essendon due to injuries but i know for a fact that they had very high hopes for him. His body will finally be right for this pre season and I think he is worth the punt. He has a great size and is very mobile and will be a good player either forward or back. In my opinion these two are very much worth using picks on. Considering at the start of the year I did say that Colin Garland will have a blinder of a year and I had people disagreeing but it turned out I was correct in saying so. Also knowing Todd i know that he will be a very good acquisition as he also can play forward or back. So they are my two KPP's that I think we should go for with late picks.

20 years old in tassie mad demons supporter and two best mates demons supporters. Also know Colin Garland .. top bloke

Just wondering what your thoughts are on Nick Davis obviously a lot of conjecture going on about him but I believe given the right environment and a coach who cares he could be a valuable asset to our club. A lot of people will have negative things to say however he is on his last chance and he knows it which makes me think he may pull his head in under bails' guidance. Anyway cant be worse than John Meesen.

Colin Garland is an absolutely top bloke and one who deserves every bit of recognition he gets he is good mates with my best mate and have met him a couple of times. Well done mate keep up the great work.
-
yeah use his new found confidence in his disposal to hit up miller or sylvia for sausage rolls
-
ah yes i completely forgot about Wheatley. Now he is a player we need to get the ball into the hands of. Someone who can kick 60 metres is a plus for any team, Not only that he is actually quite an accurate kick. I would be tempted to leave him at half back and swap with CJ.
-
B: Warnock Martin Whelan HB: Rivers Garland C. Johnson i must confess i have to eat humble pie. I personally did not rate Chris Johnson simply because i thought he was soft as melted butter and disposal was poor. I think now that Sandringham has helped him immensely and I think he is best suited to utilise his new found confidence running off half back and creating with his lovely left foot passes.

i reckon hes done pretty damn well holding franklin to only 3 goals aswell and 1 were from 55 out. and yes they year he was drafted he wasnt going to play he rocked up to a north hobart practice match just for fun so he has done incredibly well
-
Frawley im not sure of he is a bit undersized and gets mauled too easily for my liking
-
ah fair enough then not a backman but tries his heart out and is a capable forward. Liking Maric aswell best goal kicking accuracy in the TAC cup. Which is what we need .. players capable of finishing goals when we are in with a shot of winning.
-
hate to say it but before the season started i said garland was going to be a gun hes from tassie with me and knowing him he is also a great bloke. Going to be a star. Frawley on the other hand im not sure of he is a bit undersized and gets mauled too easily for my liking. Also why did Bailey drop Holland he kicked 3 goals or even pick Addam Maric this kid is seriously good.

Yeah i hope he carves out a career because he is a top bloke I think it depends on his confidence aswell as being given game time because he is tall athletic and strong so he could become a kpp for us in the future.
-
No. not based on last weeks game but as i said he looked promising and also looked like the only melbourne forward being remotely dangerous and he can also play backline which is a bonus. I think in time he will be a star or at least a quality player if given game time.
-
Now I did say in some earlier topics that Colin Garland would be a star. Going off the Geelong game i am fairly sure that if given the opportunities this year he will excel as i expected. He kicked two goals and an awesome super goal and looked to be the only melbourne forward capable of taking it to Geelong. He has height and strength and maybe is what we need this year. This is not forgetting he played last year down back for Sandringham in the VFL. So forward or back he can cover us. What does everyone think ?
-
Just to throw a name into the fray for a key defender .. Colin Garland - Tall, Athletic and strong and will be a very good player. We cannot keep relying on Carrol to do everything week in and week out. We have good defenders but none of them are all that tall. Our defense is consistently the area that lets us down as we never hawve height in the backline. Frawley will take time to develop and IMO he should be used as a half back flanker until he gets the body size to match it with the top A.F.L forwards.

well done deemissioner i have two words for that .. .absolutely sensational. Great work.
