We’ll finish next year top 4 again and with any luck injury wise we’ll be a real chance again. Having no consistent forward structure is always going to be a big ask in September. We win everywhere else.

I love following the Dee’s while we finish top 4 year after year, I’ll take this over the neeld era any day. Catch ya next year DL

Completly agreed Smokey. Forward line issues are what we need to solve. If we can have an injury free run we are the best all round team playing.

Would have loved to see Grundy in the forward line tonight. Dont know why Goodie didnt play him but what a waste. He can mark and he can have a shot.

  2. Good luck on the poddie tonight guys. Sad news for Milkshake and Dunstin. Obvious question is how do we fill the Melksham size hole in the forward line? I think is is time for Joel Smith to step up and play the role. I think Tommy Mack gets a sniff. And it may be time for Grundy to come in for a big game against his old side. Not necessarily as a forward ruck but i think he will be very handy against the wobbles in a couple of weeks.

  3. What a great way to start the weekend. The boys realy pulled one out of the box and setup a great run into finals.

I hope they double down with JJ and try to entice him to stay.

Changes for next week i think will be Tomo in for Petty.

Need to keep forward line as in for now get JVR and BBB working together and play each other into form.

Have fun on the poddy tonight boys and go Red Legs!!!!!

  4. Lovr the fast moving game we are playing as well as the control we are showing under preasure.

Will there be changes to the main squad this week?

Im a little worried about Harmes did not get a lot of time on the field but what i saw he was not quite 100%.

But then played a good game for Casey the next day.

Great poddie guys keep up the great work.

  5. So in 2021 at the start of the season i was feeling very nervous and anxious in the first few rounds of the year. It was not till the first loss and recovery the next week that i felt like we were actually playing well.

I feel like our recovery this week against Richmond was a good sign of the team staring to knit together again.

Of course i would love us to win by 6 goals every week and walk to premiership 14 but we know that will prob not happen.

I think there were good signs this week and the last half is how we should be playing a majority of our football.

Loved seeing Max back, Clary is the best Melbourne FC footballer who has played the game and Roo is coming along very nicely.

Have a great cast tonight boys look forward to listening tomorrow morning on the way to work.

    GO DEES!

  6. Im pretty open to him coming in. He is a 25 year old who could be just what we need to mirror Fritta. Have JVR or Tom Mac at full forward the other at CHF and the kozzie running around their ankles i think it looks good. He is athletic enough to get his own ball and can kick a goal. It is a wait and see but if BBB is not fully fit and firing then i think this will be ok. Add grundy and max rotating forward and it is an ok looking forward line.

  7. Also want to say, loved the end of the H&A season.

Some very great games with the Blues getting piped at the post and Sydney not doing enought to take away our home ground final.

But from our game, love the way the boys came together on the night and loved a couple of plays down the wing where we did everything we could to move the ball forward.
