I agree and I think the main advice I have is not to double down and get it finished with whoever says yes. Not trying to be mean, just trying to save you from making a bad decision. The work is likely too far completed for anyone who is a great realism artist to want to get involved, but I would suggest reaching out to a lot of artists with your pics of current work and what you want done. If a talented artist has a vision to rework it you’ll likely face a long wait as good artists have wait lists, but it will be worth it. Step one would be to research great colour realism artists in the country and only reach out to these people (I wouldn’t care if I was you if this was Qld/NSW/Melb as it would likely be a long wait to get in anywhere you should be going). You clearly struggle with basic reading comprehension. First work on that so you know what posters are in fact “talking about” before you pass judgment.

Unfortunately I don’t live in Victoria anymore and wasn’t getting tattoos when I did. The one place I’ve heard recommended as having solid artists throughout is Chapel Tattoo. Quick look at their Instagram checks out, though I would always want to have a look at the specific artists work. Beetle might be a better source of info/suggestions

While you make a fair point about the best artists, I don’t necessarily think that’s required for the smaller pieces. An average artist who can pull a straight line and knows how to shade/color is more than enough. With Instagram these days it shouldn’t be that hard to have a look at any artists work before you commit. I’m sure some of these people getting the shockers would spend hours researching the best option for any other decision they need to make (the best mobile phone deal, best value TV etc) but for some reason are happy to walk into any random tattoo parlor and hope for the best!

Love that people are keen to get a tattoo (many for the first time), I do recommend anyone thinking about it thoroughly research a good artist before they go ahead. Haven’t seen anything too worrying in this thread, but the difference in ability between a good tattoo artist and a bad one is like Oliver vs. a lowest division country league reserves fill in. Have seen some real shockers on Facebook.

I think this is the first year they have had two options like this, I haven’t yet renewed so hadn’t noticed. I assume the $125 option still counts to the membership total and is even better value if you dont need a single game ticket/whatever else comes with the membership.
