  1. Also saw a bit of Leicester v Newcastle on a split screen of the last quarter of GCS v CAR. Turned the sound down - was awesome...
  2. On Kayo tonight, I watched simultaneously GCS v CAR & COL v GWS. F'n great service for $5 a month.
  3. Agreed. Several of the less prominent are standing up whilst the more prominent are receiving tags. This is the hallmark of a great team. Plenty to be optimistic about. One thing, I prefer "Spargs" over your nickname for him...
  4. Fritch stepped up - Well done Bailey!
  5. Not convinced. Contrarily, I thought May beat Greene. Convincingly. Open to be proved wrong with stats...notwithstanding, it remains IMO, a shrewd move by the Dees coaches. I thought it worked well. I was wondering how Greene would be approached and very happy with the method. Go Dees!
  6. I am inclined to agree. A win next week against the felines will advance this premise. Also kudos to Fritch - mega game - wow!
  7. Great minds think alike, but when Jake Lever goes the golden fist, I don't see Freddie Mercury, I see Merv Hughes...
  8. Batman & Robin - classic! Those nicknames just might stick!
  9. Thanks A.W, got in no probs!
  10. Agreed, Radar. I longingly miss the days of being able to casually rock up to the MCG, confidently assured of being able to buy a ticket for $10 from one of the bored staff in the many available ticket-selling-boxes. Upon receipt of my ticket, the walk through the turnstile was a non-event (absent of today's security guards brandishing electronic metal-detector wands). The proceeding walk from there up the stairs (or not) to choose a spot to sit or stand to watch the game was (and still is) a moment to savour. To this day, at this moment, I always believe that Melbourne can win. Each week that is either a curse or affirms my faith in the MFC. I am confident that I am not solitary in holding this notion. But I digress...When I finally find a seat and revel in the grand greenery of the hallowed turf, I swim in the hubbub of the babbling crowd and I sigh with relief. I've made it. I get a beer, sit down in my seat and wait to enjoy watching my beloved Dees go into battle. This week, Radar, I'll be watching from the wing at Docklands.Colonial.Marvel. I miss the old days of just rocking up and going to the footy. An historical pastime now necessitating the effort of pre-booking tickets at $65 each (even as a MFC member) to see the Dees play this Saturday with a non MFC friend at Marvel Stadium. Traditionally we meet to attend this game and usually it is the only time we meet each year. I enjoy this day, but tend to enjoy the matches we share at the MCG more than those at Docklands.
  11. My tickets say enter at Gate 5B. The Marvel Stadium Map only shows a Gate 5. Where is Gate 5B at Marvel stadium? Am I being too pedantic?
  12. The Steven May - Damian Barrett interview is a gem. 10 minutes well spent. Whilst I've watched many instances of May inspire on the field, (especially last Saturday against Freo) I've learnt from this interview that May shows he can be equally inspiring off the paddock. May's honesty, determination and courage gives hope for the immediate and long-term future of the MFC. His influence will go a long way to forging us a long awaited premiership.
  13. ...and many others will be suggested - this week and so on - I say we stick wit h Goody.
  14. That's not quite the irrefutable response I was looking for to prevent a sink into tiddely winks...
  15. I disagree with you on your view that "this is pointless". And also with your notion of losing big with pride - that's repugnant to me. Until the final siren sounds it's never over. We're still a chance to win (no matter how slim). Melbourne to win by a point (to prove a point - hopefully ) I'm up for every goal the Dee's can kick - always - goals win games...
  16. Tell me why I should keep believing in us. Please. Surely we as supporters need to stick together through thick and thin. But we all need to know that we are not alone - that we hold true to something that we have stuck to, thick and thin for decades. is it a delusional idea to be believe in a Melbourne Premiership in our lifetimes or is it best to give up and play tiddly winks instead. I certainly vote for the former. The game's not over but I hear the fat lady singing...what is the name of that song?
