Lots of people wrote Sydney off a few weeks back, they just have too much experience, class and are well coached and drilled, can never write the bastards off

I can't stand them, especially after letting them of the hook last week.

Only thing I'll say is he is out coached easily. And this isn't a go at you btw.

We should have beaten STK by 10 goals, he was out coached and they could smell it.

We should have beaten SYD by 5 goals according to many on here, he didn't change the plan mid game.

PORT we had +30 i50's but he continued to send the same message out.

GEEL both games got runs ons and he didn't stop it, OMAC on Hawkins (that's not players fault)

I see what you're saying, but those games have had very stubborn or slow impact from Goodwin.

    He is Very Stubborn atm.

An easy morning for training, sunny, not too cold and only a little breeze.

    The mood seemed subdued.

Rehab had Joel Smith in it, Oscar Baker doing laps and Neville Jetta being tested. Nev later joined the main group.

Plenty of drills were done. Mostly hit ups with small kicks. Seemed they were working on the basics, especially by foot.

The forwards had Sam Wiedeman, Mitch Hannan, Jake Melksham, Dean Kent and Tim Smith. Tim joined the Casey group near the end of training. Plenty of goal kicking practice for them.
Mids working well. Charlie Spargo going to boundary throw ins but not in the centre bounce.
The backs included Michael Hibberd and Josh Wagner (later joined the Casey group).
Casey also included Tom Bugg (forgotten man).

The simulations became congested on several occasions. They seemed to be going more direct with less emphasis on spreads. The defensive aspects seemed strong.

Max Gawn was training well. Tom Mcdonald leading the forwards with instructions. Nathan Jones giving plenty of encouragement.

The bonding session was very vocal and seemed genuine in their joy for each other.

That is one of the best training reviews i have ever read, Excellent work 000??

  4. I'm under 40, obviously never saw him play, when i first started watching VFL footy, i use to watch the winners on ABC around 86/87.

I dont remember a great deal with me being so young 5-6 y.o but he still was running around, Robbie is one of those players that transcends time, would still be a star today, God bless him.?

Or maybe he's not doing what you think he should because he knows more about footy than you.

    He's gotta get Creative.

I haven't read every post so this may have been pointed out already.

From memory , Dave Misson started at the MFC for the 2012 preseason (late 2011).

Not long after that we lost Jack Trengove to navicular injury that dragged out for way too long, and we lost Mitch Clark to a lisfranc injury. They are just the two main ones I can recall from soon after Misson got to the club...  perhaps there are others someone else will remember.

Now this season we obviously have Viney,  Stretch, Hogan, T Mac all with foot or toe issues.

Is it all just a coincidence, or is Missons training/recovery program/philosophy the (very very big) problem?

Yeah but Heeney is much bigger than Pedo, oh wait a minute.

We clearly went in with one lumbering player too many.

Oh and also one skilless player and one sh-t scared player.

That's why we change tack and go small, we are 0-7 against top 8 sides, change it up Goody FFS.

Can't disagree with a thing that was raised, we are flat track bullies.

Sydney were waiting for us to rip their heart out, they were on their hands and knees and we still couldn't finish them it.

Now with Hogan going down we need to remodel our forward set up to We stay too set in a particular structure mix it up, 1 tall (Tmac) 3 Mid talls, (Melk, Trac, Fristch) and 2 smalls (Jeffy, Kent).

Throw it around 1 tall, 2 mids, 3 Smalls.

He's very stubborn like that Goody, could be his undoing.
