PODCAST: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
The management of Petty and BBB is crucial to our finals success in september, our first big test of our player management planning is the back to back games in Adelaide. Petty in this week even thought he was very, very rusty in his VFL hit out, BBB rested for the Port game. BBB out for the Adelaide game and Petty in for Gather round. I would also be contemplating Fullerton coming in Against either the Powa or Crows to help Max out during this period. Thoughts Gentlemen? -
I would wait until the Adelaide game to unleash Petty personally, but i can understand the rational behind Harry playing this week if no VFL game is scheduled. BBB should not and will not play 2 games in 5 days, Port R4 Saturday night, then the Crows Thursday night R5. Rest BBB for the Gather round game against the Crows and think about Fullerton coming in against the Crows to help out Max because he will be struggling to back up and perform at a high level after a 5 day break. This might actually be in the brains trusts thinking leaving BBB out this week and playing him against Port. Goody did say he was going to play Harry against the Hawks he may then rest him for the Port game and recall BBB. This might have been a scenario they have been contemplating in their squad management planning during pre season.

What they're saying down at Barkly Street
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Queanbeyan Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
They did alot of banking on the weekend doggie supporters for f k all in return. How they think they have improved has got me well and truely puzzled to use a polite term. On there way to centerlink they go for their next cheque. -

Won't be long till he gets the tap on the shoulder. Nothing's changed at Doggieland. -
CASEY: Practice Match vs Coburg
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Judging by the track watchers reports Petty would be best suited having another run out with Casey. Another couple weeks training under his belt before a return to AFL level. Hawthorn are a nuisance to play against after watching the Ess v Haw game today. Give Harry the correct amount of time to ease back into the fold i say. -
We weren't that far off last week in atrocious conditions against the swans. That's a positive.
-
Lots of empty seats at the G tonight!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Suck on a fat one Pies. All of there luck seems to have run out.
-
The key to all this is if Brayshaw's money is outside of the cap, if it is we are in a very strong position to retain Harry. Petty's management have played this perfectly over the summer, if we offer similar terms to the Crows i reckon he will stay. This all depends on Petty performing this year and body staying sound.

If i was a tigers supporter i would be incredibly proud of the troops, down 3 rotations also off a 5 day break.

Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
YesitwasaWin4theAges replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
It was Gus' physician who told him it's in his best interests for his life going forward to retire. How can you tell our club to pay his salary inside the cap when he's been medically retired by a coward dog after years without being concussed. -
TRAINING: Monday 11th March 2024

Bring him in, surely a better option than Laurie. Doesn't sound good regarding McAdam, hope he gets it right and doesn't rush it to get back. -
We were the best team in 2021 by a long way, no flukes about it. @picket fence
-
That's the things with the Filth. They fight to get all the hard game out the way early with their draw and then they don't leave melbourne after the half way mark of the year. So don't get to carried away with this.
-
We never gave him the chance that's why. Always as a sub. Has a coach who believes in him now.
-
Agree but we would have been deadly with both of them if we had persisted. Would you rather Spargo, ANB, Chandler etc.... Than Bedford? Rather Bedford hands down.
-
We fugged up royally with Toby Bedford. Pressure, pressure and more pressure. Plus his pure pace the ultimate pressure forward. They are so good by foot like we were the 1st year with Chocco on board. Hogan had to leave our club to become the player he has become. Never happening at the Dees.
-
It was fuggin disgusting last night.
-
This is making me sick.
-
No coleman, no Brisbane.
-
No humidity whatsoever tonight, players taking possession cleanly and marking above their heads.
-
Lets see how he goes for the rest of the season. We made Sydiney look like Billionaires tonight. Hopefully our one bad below par performance for the year.

You can't protect what happened out their tonight. The last two years we have started like a house on fire i hope and wish this is a change in tact. That's all I'm hanging onto. We go 0-2 and you watch the wolves come out and rip us to shreads!
