Loved world of sport back in the day. Lou used to get him self in a bit of strife with tipping, one time i think the pies and blues were playing and of course Lou bet some, can't remember who? that if the blues win he would stand on the stairs at Flinder street station wearing a carlton jumper and he also had to sing the carlton song over and over until the blues players were happy to end it. There was a woman who worked at the club in the 90s sorry just can't think of her name? After one of our matches at the G there was a function in one of those bars up stairs; where my friends and used to attend, whilst waiting for some of the players to arrive she, spoke and said the club had over two hundred thousand people who followed the club. She also said the club was trying to do something about it, of course as you all know nothing was done, so it will be interesting to see in the next couple of years when we do start to head to the top if these people will join the DEMON train all aboard.

I second that! I had those stuck up *&^$ wits on the train, one bloke yelling twice go (place what ever word you choose) every time the train stopped at a station there were more and more of them. This is one team i have hated from day one; so i was so very happy we beat them. Oh on the way home there was only one of those trolls on the train.

I can relate to your story ProperDee the same thing happen to me, the friends who i had known for years some even from high school who we grew up together, who just didn't give a toss, when i told them i have depression. I thank my late father for taking to me to see my first match in the early eighties because i have made a very good friend her and her husband have welcome me into their family and they mean the world to me, i don't have many family members of my own so i am very great full to have them in my life. So you can say football is more then a game because our club although we haven't seen a flag yet is worth more to me then just a football club. I think it's great that we can share our stories together i know it's not the same as GP but if you have gone through or are going through something like depression just having a chat can make things a little better.
