Does anyone else have issues with their foxtel where it just does random things?
Yeah. They draw money out of my bank account. Seriously though I have not noticed a problem.

Round 22:
Which should be the Friday night game?
Dees v Port or Sydney V Collingwood.
Knowing thee AFL that is not a question in their minds. Give it to the favourites up North. OMG just realized the Filth have to travel interstate for this one. Someone in "fixtures" will get a kick in the behind.

AFL MRO MADNESS
The only other charge from Saturday's games was Melbourne defender Trent Rivers copping a fine for a sling tackle on Port Adelaide's Connor Rozee. Rivers has been fined $3750, which can be reduced to $2500 with an early plea.
SHALL WE START THE CROWD FUNDING !?!? It was a ridiculous decision at the time. Whistle blow amongst screaming crowd noise and 0.0008seconds later, Riv tackles (soft) Butters who flops to the ground. Reversal. Port free 20 metres out. Goal. It was wrong. It was a gift to port. This fine just accelerates the confusion. Ps. Butters hits the ground with his shoulder.
Challenge for goodness sakes. This is so wrong on so many levels.

Mitchell and the Hawks were absolutely physically targeting our players in ways that were absolutely not legal. I get it, rough them up and be physical but it just looks so pathetic targeting players to hurt them.
Same as "the druggies" in Sydney last night. Very poor players/teams resort to those tactics. Oh and look at both coaches. Say no more.

The Collingwood hate runs long in our family. My mother raised us all to be Demons. She'd sing songs like this to us:
"Good old Collingwood forever,
They KNEW how to play the game.
SIde by side they fell together,
To uphold the Demons' name!
Hear the barrackers a squealin',
Just like Collingwood do!
For the premiership's a cakewalk,
For the good old Red and Blue!"
Small correction if you don't mind. "Good old Collingwood FOR NEVER" is what the cheersquad used to sing back in the 60"s

Being in my 70's it was always Collingwood (bought up that way), however times have changed. After the 2000 GF and the thugery of Essendon, the pure nastiness of their supporters AND THEN the drugs issue are my most hated.
Then there would be Geelong. The AFL's darling as well as the Vic government's drop of millions for "Taxpayer Park" while we have not had ONE DOLLAR.
You can almost raffle the rest, however Carlton (like bad cream) is rising to the top.
Collingwood cannot escape a mention as in general their supporters are a sight to behold and their ignorance of rules is mind blowing. Loved previous TV stations before Ch7 highlighting some of the worst looking, toothless & angry supporters. You didn't need to be a lip reader to know their comments Just like sheep following each other. Love the way Pendlebury plays the game (well he was a Melbourne supporter as a child) but the thugery of some of the others is just [censored].

West Coast figures have plateaued out from being right up there on "frees for" which used to really bug me. I suppose being such a poor team takes them out of the umpires eyes.
Still I cannot understand the Bulldog figures and I imaging three quarters of the Woods plus figures are driving by their crowd. Intimidate the umpires is their motto.

When I was in the cheer squad back in the '60's we sang (to Pies tune):
Good old Collingwood for never
They know how to play the game.
Bash, bash.
Side by side they stick together

Hear their barrackers a whinging
Like they always do
For the premiership's a cakewalk
For the good old Red and Blue.I remember it very well.

So very sad to hear the news. I heard things were dire when he was unable to attend the 50 year+ members a month or so ago. My thoughts to his wife Cherryl who was his rock.
HE WAS MELBOURNE.

neither. forced into going small tonight. hopefully this means we go quickly too.
At least it's not cold and wet tonight so his selections just might be right for the playing conditions. I really expect a massive improvement tonight. Even playing/kicking badly last week we only lost by a few points and if there were a couple of extra minutes could well have won. How would the media handled that.

Just watched the 2000 Melbourne V Paper baggers on Foxtel with the volume up quite loud. I missed it back then as I was in Brisbane for work and recall being warned by the hotel management to keep the noise down as neighbours were complaining. After singing the song with the team I woke up around 10:30 pm wondering where I was. Oh dear.
I made a comment during the game and just watching it again now I said the same. Malcolm Blight just really HATES Melbourne and puts us down every time. His anti- Melbourne stance is repeated today with the current crop of commentators. Frustrating to listen to ( looking at you Brian Taylor) but just why? I realise we have been c--p for years but playing good footy now. Oh well the best we can do is keep winning and that will erk them even more.

Where did everybody go during the dark years? Hawthorn???
Even back then we always had an older supporter base. Late 50's & 60's we had a lot of younger supporters but slowly they just gave it up as the team wasn't successful. Great to see so many young faces in the crowd now. Success breeds new supporters.

It's called a "clean stadium". Melbourne still waiting for just $1 from the State Govt/AFL.
