One recognised forward ain't going to fill the scoring bill; Jeffo is primed to improve, get stronger, impact a game or two and rise to the occasion. Interestingly, based on the comments of our Casey coach, there are a few players notably in this circle and if this is a development year, it is time overdue to bring them to the fore.

but really - just as long as Lever has spell at Casey
Lever needs to be played across the backline in a utility role, entering the melee and/or to firstly intercept and secondly to feed upfield a little in space, thus beginning a chain of clearances into a scoring zone. He needs to also avoid a static position, peeling off and far to re-enter the challenges with some pace and selective angles best suited to his sound reading of the flight of the ball. If he is in a position to be bumped off the ball, he will be bumped off the ball, he is lightly framed and it will be too late to enact a recovery.

I heard a few remedies from a noted goal kicker (and a great one at that) on how to improve the Dees' goalkicking. Rather
'on the mark' in my opinion, just a couple of suggestions given and certainly, a possibility to take on a more influential role with our team to coach and improve the devastating errors we currently contribute. This guy was an amazing forward, kick 'em from almost anywhere, great gatherer of the ball and a reliable mark...ex-Don, know who I mean?

Beautifully posited influences in that hope.

All pretty rational to me. A great asset in LJ.

Grundy could not function as a forward: Jackson can.
Jackson, no matter how unlikely to return to the Dees, would be an enormous bonus to our side ... going a long way towards improved mobility, forward pressure and on the scorecard.

A couple of good wins and some pleasing performances amongst bog ordinariness. Yet each of these were characteristic of mere and unique luck on the scoreboard, and importantly, the alleged 'Change' is put instantly on the back-burner where our less than merry way is to again be journeyed because we accept this shambles from some abstract sense of polity.

If we keep it public that we think AJ is going to improve with more gametime, and have been pleased with aspects of his game, then I hope this support reaches him; building his confidence to provide that little extra week by week then getting a nickname like "Crusher' of something to that effect as he rises in form, contribution and with the process of dismantling an opposition affront against the Demons.

Somehow, I have visions of Tholstrup developing (but where on the field) into a midfield / forward utility; body in there, reasonable foot skills, attitude to take 'em on, reads the drop quite well.

He's a big rough around the edges but I like what he brings.
Sharp in, for Spargo, yes. AJ in for his commitment to the team and value with 'mongrel' team intentions. Rest for Lever. TMac into CHB. JVR on the bench, or in Fritta's spot, with Fritta on the bench. Kolt - for goodness sake, train him as a forward utility.

Agree with Binman… if we take our chances and kick straight, we will win !!! If our goalkicking is shizzzzen, then not !!!
Hope we do have a win - it would make your tim-tams even more special - one per goal!

Dees by 41.
I'd reckon that our 'young' brigade will really stand up and be counted, in this game. Their experience(s) have grown, they have checked the videos of their weaknesses, then assimilated 'learnings' into progressive contributions to date. Should be a very pleasing opportunity to knock the Swans were it hurts, and I just love the bench line-up to help out.

Ko, the Zork still has one coming against us ... expected it Sunday, can wait for a bigger occasion though. Debts can be paid on delay; let us not forget the mongrel in us all, an unexpected flurry would do just nicely.

Clarry was showing great signs today. Well and truly kept the lid on Neale and displayed a renewed sense of desperation and tenacity.
Sparrow is also slowly turning up the heat. Stats don’t flatter him, but his off-ball/pressure game is underrated.
Our freakish captain aside, the lack of big standouts was down to a whole team rising as one. Swans should be worried.
Good to see Max resting a little early in the 4thqtr, then onto the field again serving the dollop of cream to our game and its responsibilities upon the heads of a fairly inexperienced team profile ... and yes, Sparrow's heat was noticeable, for me, lasting across the game with some impact and deterrence. Spargo worries me, not quite up to the mark at this point often leaving our whole team half-a-man short in terms of impact. I noted the conferencing between Maxi, Ollie and Tracca in that last quarter, when possible, reminding me of the Grand Final 4thqtr in which the gameplay became refreshingly unbeatable.

PREGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
in Melbourne Demons
I live in hope, acknowledging your observations ... that is why I thought leading might contribute a new aspect to his game and contribution.
