Watts for the two homesick GWS boys?
Would Kennedy and smith fit. If so watts and second rounder.
If it fails at least Carlton will need to step up.
Have always been a fan of watts and he has shown resilience that many others would not. Prefer him to stay but if he wishes out we owe it to him.
This trade period will be very interesting. Still think we should look at ac chee. Can get him for cheap as he is also out of contract. His younger brother in SA is a gun and he may want to play with his older brother.
List of targets
Lever
Gaff
Ac Chee
Kennedy GWS
Preuss (north ruckman)
Tom Lamb ( last round pick)
Motlop ( I know he is a risk but I think we learnt a lot from jurrah and believe under Jetta, Garlett and Ac Chee he would be guided well)
Most important is to improve our bottom end. Depth is essential and why I think the crows may do richmond on the weekend.
Unless hogan wants out he is going no where. Him and pedo could cause a lot of damage next year.
Any others we should look at?

Media are reporting he met with Port? Was he sighted?
It would strike me as a big move for a Melbourne boy with his board shorts biz and everything else set up here.
I wonder how the exit interview went? Maybe a few home truths about his prep and commitment - step up or step off sort of stuff? Maybe not up for the challenge?
Anyway, contracted with 2 years to go, former number 1 draft pick. Gotta get some things of value back for that (a first rounder for lever deal would work nicely, plus a player for good measure). I would ask for Ollie Wines.

I second that! Would be awesome to see that draft year put right ha ha. Would be an great midfield to watch as well.
If we get wines, lever, ac chee and gaff !

Ah, where was this post Dirts? I didn't see it ?
Also I wouldn't give two 1st's, for Lever, one 1st & a player, is plenty.
Think adelaide will want 2 if we have them. Especially if he is a prem player

Andrew Gaff is 25.
And Lachie Neale is 24
Ok a review of my past trade post
if hogan wants to go back then:
hogan and Kent , second round pick to dockers.
we get Neale , Logue and first round.
Use that first round and our one to get lever.
much prefer Neale to gaff.
use a third or 4th round to get Ac chee from port.
Tell the pies to go get funked.

HTF would trading Hogan be in the best interest of both parties?
Griffen Logue and their first round.

Deliberate, high and intentional. Cotchin has form and actually sped up to make the incident more hurtful to the head area.
Maggots up to their usual impartially bereft standard and heavily favoring Tigers to ensure their family GF Tickets.
Has 2 points already. Be a big story if tigers win. Though hope it is a draw . Haha couldn't give a funk

Only seen a replay but doesn't look good for the captain. May miss the gf . Typical Richmond !

The article of afl website was interesting. Yes the guy is 29, but if we get for nothing, worth having a ruck back up. Thoughts?

Ahh come on all of you pull yourselves together, everybody knows there is a clash if the GF is the Crows V Tigers and the Tigers will need to throw on the yellow jumper. Lets all petition the AFL for the Tigers to wear the lovely yellow jumper on GF day, the only jumper I would prefer to see more is the Hawks sparkly power ranger looking top.
Funny if gws wins. All this for naught.
Not that interested. Watching the roosters

It among many suggestions has some plausibility.
I could see
Out #10 Watts 3rd rnd pick
In Lever Adel 2nd rnd pick
A bit of give and get both ways. Thats called trading.
Don't mind that either. Chase a mature outside run type. Must be a few hiding in the draft. If van berg comes back in that will certain assist our cause.

Jones and Goodwin are critical of Jacks preparation off field because it's inadequate and it sets a poor example to other younger players.
For example, would we want Petracca, a similar high talent player, modelling his approach to his AFL career on Jack Watts?
I'm for sending him North for the best deal we can get. 9 years is too long.
Love jack w and think he has been valiant but if an offer comes in worth something good, take it. WA is a beach state. Board shorts are big . Gaff is a Melbourne lad.
Just a thought . Watts and pick 10 for gaff and their first rounder .

He's had initial talks about a three year extension with the club. He wants to stay and we want him to stay
Petracca is the next Dangerfield so no no no. Dee for life!

To be honest, I'd love to see Watts go. Absolutely nothing against him, in fact I love the mean, but I'd like nothing more than to see him improve and succeed. Unfortunately, and I hope I'm wrong, I just can't see him living up to his potential at the Dees. No matter what happens, he'll always be one of my favourites
Trade watts and pick 10 for gaff And Tom lamb .

Must say I struggle with the concept of this. Many if not all players have played since a young age. I would think to even make it at wafl/ vfl / sanfl level, you would need to be able to kick.
I is hard to believe we have a group of players that get paid to play but can't hit a target from 30m.
Having watched some of the 70s and 80 s games lately, the skill level is much better. I understand the pace of the game but simple skills aka the Hawks, are still a must.
Also maybe use pick 27 to grab Scully. He was chasing a premiership 5 years ago. May miss out looking at how they played tonight. GWS may need to start the dreaded 're-build'.
Next year or two will see the 2nd AFL love team self destruct. We can sit and welcome these players back to their home state.

I'm worried Petruccele's kicking is too bog ordinary to add to our swag of sub-standard kicks

For me, my wish list is
1. Gaff or Whitfield ( both be fine)
2. Lever ( with frost signed not such a hassle)
3. Ac chee from port - 3rd or 4 th round pick
4. McKenna ( depth type player)
5. A back up ruckman
would love Kelly but very unlikely. I think we need to keep 1 round next year unless we land lever and gaff/ Whitfield.
This years 1 round draft pick to be used as trade. We need some 50 plus games, quality players of which lever and gaff/ Whitfield would be.
Be happy with that !
I also think weeds should have a big gym session next year and we see how he goes.
Be like a new recruit

2018 first round pick a tempting offer for Gaff... he's not a contested beast but he has speed and genuine class and he's a beautifully kick. He's he right age and i believe grew up a dees fan for what that's worth
Abe you are on the money. Go to a few eagles games and gaff is not the one ripping open the pack. With Viney and jones etc we don't need that.
Gaff would be a perfect fit. Not sure about pick ten. A coin toss. But if we grab their 2nd round as well , maybe.

Kelly on a 800k a year 5 year deal as he just wants to be at the dees

Hate to say with all the speculation, but we could have had Dustin Martin.
Instead we ended up with a guy leaving us and another who broke down.
Lets hope that this years draft uncovers another Martin for the mfc!
