It's a bit sad some on here only seem to be able to post about the negatives. in fact there is one frequently negative poster who seems hasn't been able to come on here at all and post about one of the best wins of the season.

Agree . I was devastated last week but today was an amazing win. Still think next year will be the year but just making the eight would be a big step. Keep it up chaps!

Is Hogan scared to kick? Jesus he just ruined that ball move.

    Disposals: (half time)

    Smith 2

    Fritsch, Jetta 3

    Vince 4

    Spargo 5

    Hogan 6

    JKH, Salem, Tyson 7

and the Jones lovers will cream themselves over his 14 - with 4 turnover kicks and 10 x 1m handballs. The captain, absolutely putrid.

How we are only 7 points down is beyond me. Those players above should hang their heads in shame.

    Smith is doing his role

This is how we should be every week from pre-season on.

One week at a time, stay focused,,,  'or mindful', of what we're doing. not getting ahead.

All the same thing... remain focused on the challenge right before us.

I don't think we've nailed this focus, just yet.

Not watching tonight. Hurt hand last week punch the floor. Not this week.

  4. On a serious note I believe the big money to gov could definitely be the signal that gaff maybe on the move.

With that in mind we need to be careful not to offer the world. I still think no the buddy deal for the swans is now biting them in the arse. A salary cap of 10 or so mill and one guy getting a mil of that with 37 other players to pay.

Gaff is good and I hope we get him on a 5 year deal, but not going to crazy on the cash. Get active Melb recruiters and book A coffee in when over here!

No he wasn’t; he was well beaten on the lead and the Cats’ mids - who had ZERO pressure on them from our mids, for the most part - put it down his throat as they lowered eyes going i50

I want Kent in if he’s GTG; JKH is the obvious out

Crows may ‘play tall’ with Walker, Jenkins, McGovern, but Lynch is effectively a push-up mid for them - he just happens to be tall

On the weekend past, it was their mid-sized forward who did the damage on the scoreboard, not their talls

    Walker - O Mac
    Betts - Jetta
    Jenkins - Frost
    McGovern - J Smith
    Lynch - Vince
    Greenwood - Lewis

But, quite frankly, our match-ups won’t make a lick of difference if our mids don’t do their job defensively on the likes of Crouch, Sloane, Gibbs, et al

Personally we will miss the 8 this year. We have a few games left so run the lads you think will have an impact next year.

  6. I am out. I will be sending my membership card back to the club and request no further contact. They melted. Geelong are a team we could only hope to be. Jones should retire not that it matters he will never play finals.

Too many players that fall apart when it gets tough. I am over the constant disappointment. I feel sorry for Gawn, Oliver and Bradshaw, Jetta. The rest of their team is [censored].

The year is done. Funk the Gold Coast beat Sydney and we get 24 points up and lose it. Just want to explode.

  7. We have lost it. Making dumb mistakes. Need to stop bombing to forward line where Geelong for 10 Years have played a spare man. I can’t believe we have stuffed this up. Umpiring was questionable but we will lose it ours! God, how long can a person continue to hope!

While I agree with your assessment, Carlton supporters appear to think SOS won the battle. And it was a battle.

Not a big fan of Carlton but was glad sos told Wilson what he thought. This lady is a pain in the arse along with the fat guy next to her. They have made a living out of making up stuff and causing duress to others.

Carlton have quality kids and I do see them improving. Funny, the hawks were the laughing stock of the afl between 2003-2006 . How that changed.

Predetermined result today by UMPIRES and AFL. Hawthorn and Geelong both on the same points and both beaten. Thanks AFL!!!!!!!

Umpiring not great but no excuse. We play terribly. Need to use hogan in the middle.

    This. 1000 times this.

Don't know if it's effort or structure or talent, but they killed us there last time.

I am done with the dees if they lose this. We have all to play for and this is the type of [censored] they serve up. I am at a point where we should offer Petracca for trade. Lewis is useless. We have no pace skill or heart. I have wasted thousands of dollars on memberships tickets merchandise etc all for nothing.

We are [censored], plain and simple.

Geez the Bears are giving it to Hawthorn. 5 Goals up with game almost over.  Helps us for sure.

Great result. (For the Bears AND us)

We need to win . The lions gave us a massive gift so hopefully we honour it!

After the Hawthorn & Richmond losses I stopped caring so much and we went on a 6 game winning streak... The St.Kilda game crushed me again, so I've gone back to not caring so much. Can't watch tonights game which will be weird, I can't recall ever not watching a game on t.v. atleast. Dees by 23, hoping more than anything!

Simple formula. Win! No excuses etc. win by 1 point or by 100 points. Prefer 50 plus points but a win is all we need then no travel this week.

I think we can beat Geelong and Sydney but day is crucial
