    This is real.

There's a grand final tomorrow and we're in it!

Our team is at the centre of the football world.

    It's really happening!

    GO DEMONS!!!

    Just a quick statement/ thought!

I have supported this club through good and bad. At times I must admit my love did wane but my commitment never has, being a WA based member for over 25 years. I will be attending tomorrow and must say; very nervous and very excited. I really can't say we win or lose but do believe this is the start of a few very promising years.

Having looked through the predictions at the beginning of the season, we had one pundit expecting us to make the 8. Personally I thought we would and maybe win a first final. This is well beyond what I expected. Whatever the result the players, coaches and backroom staff have certainly done more than most expected. The video of Goodwin on the season ahead is also nostradamus like!

Walking out of OPTUS tomorrow, it will be with a sense of joy or sorrow but also hope that this team is the one that breaks the drought sooner than later. The curse of Norm Smith may be folklore but it has certainly hung above us. Norm died at 57 and we have made the GF 57 years after we last one it.

In saying all this I hope we step up tomorrow and put the dogs in the kennel. Our best will be good enough, lets hope we bring it!

  2. Win or lose (Hopefully win of course) one feels the next 3-4 years will be big. Jordan, Bowser, Jackson, Pickett, Rivers, Sparrow, Spargo are all young up comers and playing in a GF. 33% of the team on the field will be no older than 21-22. Quite amazing.

This week off has been good but geez next week will be a killer. The prelim lead up was hard enough!

Critically underrated legend of our club.

For me, part of the gloss of making the Grand Final has been taken off from him not being there as I firmly believe he offers just as much as Jordon as the sub.

Having said that, he made the right decision to be home for the birth of his twins regardless.

Thank you, Nathan. You are a bloody star.

I think the Max Gawn interview after the game said it all. Jones is the backbone of the club and the person who has inspired him to achieve. I believe Nathan gave the timing great thought and to ensure our playing group understand this is just a small part of the big picture; make the most of it and give all you can as one day it will be over. Now is time to rewrite history! Saturday week let's honour a true legend of the Dee's and bring the cup back to the where it belongs!

  4. I am finding that the AFL Website has put numerous articles on about Bulldogs; Dunkley, Smith, their recruitment guy and yet nothing on us. Next will be a story on breeds of dogs, featuring Bulldogs.

Not overly phased as it seems the usual AFL beat up of the bulldogs, just hope the headline next Saturday night is simply; Dogs in the dog house and Demon's Delirious.

Absolutely no upside in handing over a bar code unless you have a family or a friend in Perth. I wouldn’t hand over a bar code to some internet random.

Plus people in Perth have had the opportunity to purchase a GF guarantee membership which went on sale recently.

My family and are Dees supports and I have been a member for over 22 years. We hold a Cat 2 Interstate Family Membership as we live in Perth. If we do win against Geelong happy to negotiate with Melbourne based members to receive GF Tickets if unable to attend. Happy to give my details to Joan at Western Demons (Perth Based Supporter Group), as to ensure it is legitimate.

    Go Dee's !

Older players at clubs outside the premiership window should be targets. Players like Sidebottom, Breust and Seedsman would give us some outside class and complement our strengths.

We are now a destination club!

Took your advice and upgraded family memberships and purchased all our GFG's. I believe GFG's selling like hot cakes today.

I am in on Monday. Family GFG!

Do we trade him now, potentially for a 2nd round pick or do we let him battle away at the Casey Wind Tunnel for a year, by the end of which he'll be out of contract and off to a new home?

If we're bringing in BBB we may as well trade Weid now whilst he has some currency.

Weeds is a lock-in. The day will come and he will bag a casual 6! I think against the pies!

    Know the young man well.
Great fella and could be a handy pick up if we can get. Certainly worth throwing a second round pick at.

Confidence and attitude play hand in hand. Think Choco and yze would get him humming !

    Gawn - the momentum facilitator

    Petracca - elite and relentless

    Oliver - dynamic all game

    Viney - tackling machine returns

    Langdon - reliable and indefatigable

    McDonald - enjoyed the conditions

    Fritsch - always a threat

    Pickett - continues to excite

    Salem - all Australian form

    Spargo - an intelligent footballer

    Lever - regularly repelled effectively

    Brayshaw - effective team game

    Hunt - pace an asset

    Neal-Bullen - holding his spot

    Jones - experience was vital

    Melksham - a quiet return

    Sparrow - was rarely noticed

    Jackson - steadily becoming vital

    Rivers - loose but important

    Jordon - little to commend

    Jetta - didn’t imbue confidence

    May - hopefully back soon

    Tomlinson - rose to occasion

    An incredible day.
Truely felt that this was the best all round performance.
Massive appreciate for our stars but sparrow, hunt, Jetta were amazing.

    The confidence is growing.
Get May back ASAP and b brown in and this is gold.

A massive well done to the players, football department and those around the club that do the little things!

2021 is an odd year, never a demon’s best year, but I think the tide is about to change!

Makes no sense at all from Dwayne.

However with how redundant the ruck position has become I'd much rather see LJ become a star forward.

LJ will be a gun and I suspect another East Freo boy (Carroll) will be drafted to allow the Dees to have a WA flavour with the hope they stick together at the Dees. Where will he end up playing will depend on the coach, game plan, opportunities etc. But I believe he will be a jet as a forward ruck combo

  13. So do we use 18, 19 and 33 or do we trade 18 and 19 for a higher pick (ie 8-13) and use 33 and 50.

Tend to think pick 18 and 19 would be a good move. A few could slip in this draft and having two in a row gives a good chance of one being the right choice.

Our picks in the 30's are generally ok and more for a back up.
