Goodwin isn't dangling any carrot, he doesn't want him there, he's lost complete patience as per commentary. Even Watts himself has said personally he has been booted out and referring us to "they." Here no Carrot, no carrot here. Only rockets. The more to the story bit is Watts has done something more than what we see and here. It'll all come out eventually but he's goneski full stop.

I guess my biggest gripe is we bottomed out when they got all their draft picks, they had something like 11 of the first 15 picks. However we certainly had our chances and blew it. My other concern is, I think the league would be better suited to less teams and more talent (less diluted), then chuck in Scully lol. I like their song though and it's now up to the club to deliver for once. (totally off topic post).

Hmm, I'm all for moving him on as some of his attributes annoy me as much as his kicking delights me but Goodwin shouldn't be doing this IMO. I agree with him wholeheartedly which is why I want him gone but this isn't the way to do it. There really must be a lot more to this story than we are hearing IMO.

buggs was bad, others were top end of scale of suspensions and Salems was a joke. At least those guys apply themselves onfield with intensity and have a crack. kent, Kennedy and Spencer are probably all gone. one thing I will say in Watts' defence is I don't think Jones nor Goodwin should be slagging him in the media.

The ones that were caught "off the field" were banned from playing VFL and are mostly young, one of them has already been delisted also, others we don't know of as yet. Jack has has had 9 years and should be a senior player, not even in our leadership group! That says it all. Goodbye to one armed tackles and jogging Jack.

I don't think he's the only problem either. But there's more to the Watts story than just his skills. It's all about culture now, players not buying in to team rules will be gone, no matter how "nice" they are.

Yep, that's exactly right. The Watts defenders are coming out of the closet to tell us he has skills but this whole thing has nothing to do with skills. He's toxic to our culture going forward. Goodwin and Jones have said as much this year. Nothing to do with his skills that we all know he has. It's his application, desire, want, hunger, bravery, team standards, preparation & professionalism that's the issue. After 9 years, he still doesn't get it and by the look of some posts on this thread, never do his fans. He wouldn't last 5 minutes at the Swans and wouldn't choose there as he knows he won't play in a premiership side. He'll end up at a soft front running club like Port.

You can have all the talent in the world which is great, but if you're not going to buy into the new culture then [censored] off. No matter how good you are. We are trying to build a "bloods" like culture here to get us out of this rot of years gone by. If people sit back and think about it, Jack Watts doesn't or never will bring that buy in. Sad, because he's a nice guy but we need to move forward and cop it on the chin. I wish him all the best. Someone else will kick the goals and Goodwin will work out a plan. Harmes, Hannan have shown more and ANB. After Roos left I'd bet he thought the heat was off and he could just go back into cruise control, rocked up unfit and below standards plus I also bet he didn't prepare properly with his hamstring, hence taking so long to recover. Unfortunately Jack will end his career and wish he'd given more. He's had 9 years and still has the same issues. Time to let go of the fan boy.
