They are still there but they are behind a pay wall now. Those fancy new broadcast rights in action.

The only one that matters at the moment. When he is decisive he looks good, but he just doesn't do it enough.
-
It's interesting because Brisbane similarly started like a house on fire last night. Difference in the games was they put together an unassailable lead (just) and the saints only got 4 goals. But even then, like Lewis said in his post match interview, we caught up much faster than you would normally expect after such a slow start.
-
he went off in the second due to his back, Im not sure how serious it is. Goodwin mentioned it in his presser
-
haha damn, i remembered it better than that. although i think in my head our whole side played blinders XD
-
Short answer? No. I thought he played well but I think he was better because he played almost as a spare midfielder, I assume because Tyson was out, I've never doubted his ability as a midfielder I just think he is not good enough as a small forward. Kent is capable of equalling his pressure and is a much more dangerous forward, so naturally if fit he would come in. The luxury they have now is they can give Kent more time to get match fit while Hannan is playing his role and allowing ANB to play further up the ground where he is much better.
-
I still think if fit Kent should replace ANB. But it would be really harsh to drop him after the way he played yesterday, I think it was his second best game for us. Behind his blinder in Geelong.
-
I agree but at the same time they couldn't take out Oscar even if they wanted to. We have nobody left. I thought he steadied a little after a very ordinary start. I think after that inboard kick to Tracc in the second he got a bit of confidence and still made a couple of mistakes but looked better. He just needs to get rid of the confidence/hesitation errors that he had early, needs to play like he believes he should be there, right now he just looks too worried that he will make a mistake then does.

TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 1

It is a bit hard to take those seriously. Same with the ones who use their similarly uninventive school yard names for all the clubs. -
Do we need an AFL Fans Association
ArtificialWisdom replied to Diamond_Jim's topic in Melbourne Demons
The 3 you have mentioned who have a say each have strongly alligned agendas. Given fans all have wildly different opinions with how the game should be run, would a fan association not just end up fighting amongst themselves? -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 1

I love how people always say "X St Kilda player always plays well against us." We have lost 14 in a row! they all play well against us!! -
TEAM SELECTION AND MATCH PREVIEW - ROUND 1
ArtificialWisdom replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
My logic on this is they both had long injuries that prevented them for running for extended periods. Garlett and Jetta both got through the majority of the preseason before having a short period imparing running and Hannan was a shoulder. But when it comes down to it we are 4 short of the best 22.. it was never going to be our strongest side -

Yeah, that was the start of his end of season collapse where he just couldnt find the goals after that. -
That would be a surprise alright. I think there would be an angry mob outside Goody's house.... I'll bring the flaming torches!
-
Any chance of a list of things that would surpise you? just so we can narrow down our wild speculation.
-
yeah sometimes, other times they can be done on monday.. or the week before... really its completely random there have been rookie elevations dotted throughout the whole week. It doesnt really matter but like i said earlier they have played selection very close to the chest this week.

Melbourne 2017 ladder prediction

Since 2000 the only team to win 13 games in a year and not play finals was the Bombers the year they got excluded from the finals.... It would be a hell of an outlier if we won 13 and didnt play finals.
