Some of you cats are joking, aren't you?
I'd be disappointed if they weren't sledging like this.

I just can't see us losing any of our important players to another club.

Now that it's been established there's no interest, can someone please clearly explain to me what's so wrong with Rockliff?

A few years ago Demonland sponsored Jasmine Garner. Glad to see she got picked up...unfortunately it was to the Pies! Hoping for a cracking league.

I think we'll know a lot by quarter time.
With their more defensive playing style this year I think the dogs will enjoy the rain. They have only lost one game by over 25 points this year and have won the last two against Sydney - both up there.
Obviously it's hard to go past Sydney but if the dogs are in it after quarter time I think momentum could do a lot for them.

Had a photo with him once.
He turned to me and casually quipped "come on mate, stand up."
Needless to say I already was!!

Just saw Harris's long range goal, will be sad to see her in other colours next year.
Dogs got that one but the record still stands at 5-1! I like the look of a Friday night match at a VFL size venue for the womens games, I'd be curious to know what the AFL will be expecting in terms of crowds. Might be a better look to have them at smaller venues with it packed.
Hope for it to take off and will definitely give it time but expectations should certainly be tempered.
6000 for an "all star" game with free entry should be kept in mind.
Those saying that that's the best talent in the land, however, are forgetting how many potential stars there are out there that haven't entered the fray for whatever reason. Many more skilled girls will pop up soon.

Hope just put on an absolute clinic that quarter.

Interesting Rance conceded 41 goals for the year.
Considering the blokes he plays on and at the standard of midfield protection in front of him, that's pretty good. Not to mention it was probably 34 after 21 games...

"Pedo's wins": GWS, Collingwood, Richmond, Gold Coast, Hawthorn, Port Adelaide
"Pedo's losses": Essendon, St Kilda, Western Bulldogs
I agree that the occasions he was left out had me baffled.

Fitzy has played in twice as many wins for Melbourne than he has for Hawthorn... Does that help?
Now you're getting it.
Although, after today, you'd have to argue that if we'd have kept him we would've been top four.

Hawthorn reigning 3 times premiers and finished top 4.
Melbourne no premiership since 64, finished 11th.

Pfft. It's already rubbish that they get to pick and choose when they play home games at Mordor.
Play every game there and then they can whinge about not playing home games there.
Put it this way. They play Hawthorn as the home team in a fortnight. They haven't played the Hawks in Geelong since 2006. 8 straight home and away matches. Only twice there since 98.

Hawthorn have won 6 games by under 10 points.
Average winning margin 29.8 - Dees average winning margin 35.5
Hawks average losing margin 34.6 - Dees 33.5

Will possibly get shouted down for this - but thrilled for Fitzpatrick. Good on him.
So the first week of finals will be as above.
Cats have the best record against other top 8 sides, Sydney look the best, Hawthorn are Hawthorn, I'd say Eagle and Giants come in with good form.
Crows, Dogs and North looking in trouble - though a 100 point win could help get Adelaide's confidence up.

Suddenly saints need 4 goals to zip.

Brisbane are now last.

2 goals to zip from here would do it.

Saints need three goals to zip from here. From there basically every Brissie goal needs two from the saints. Very much alive.

Appreciate the sentiment. Obviously, I'd also prefer we stopped this happening and think we definitely have to stop it happening with the same regularity.
But, for balance sake, the times we got on runs must be considered (as fans of opposition clubs would lament their own side's defensive lapse).

Now, I know as much as anyone how much the "lapses" hurt. But I think it is also part and parcel somewhat of today's footy. They are going to happen. Good sides probably just end up having multiple runs themselves during games to overcome the periods of dominance that the opposition will have.
As those above have said, 8 of our losses can be somewhat attributable to lapses.
But, by the same token, you have to consider how many wins we had by the same virtue.
By looking at the stats above, 11 of our wins came from run-ons (or what the other team would call their own lapse). Only the Dogs win can't be singled down to a period of dominance that was greater than the final result.
Interesting that, I'd argue, only two games this year we never got a run on. How's the improvement there from the previous 5 seasons!
