Caro digs up old wounds of Camp Fiasco on eve of season.
Demon trucker replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
The camp was 2 days not needed, and is about 1% of pre season training, you have mfcss which makes you jump at Shadows, so if we miss finals you are going to put it down to 2 days, a camp for soldiers, not footballers comparing play AFL to going to war is insulting to war veterans. -

Richmond lost about 4 games by less then a goal, last year the team was not ready, I believe we are ready, but doing this camp has no bearing on our mental strength, if it had we would have played finals, because we went to that camp last year, many games we could have lost by more, but we never gave up, the trick is not letting the other team get to big of a lead or starting games better. -

The stupid thing is we did this camp last year and we lost games we should of won, the team is not mentally weak at all, last year they were mentally strong, when we almost had our entire midfield out against Carlton that was a very mentally strong win, many teams lose games they should have won, GWs lost to Carlton, it happens to everyone. -

I would not worry about it 16 days after the knock is plenty of time to get over a knock to the knee, did he not play out the game anyway, it is nothing -
what do you think max can only focus on 1 thing at a time, I like hearing our players in the media

I was thinking the same about doing a podcast of demon home games, and doing it through Demonland, maybe we could start a go fund me page, to raise money to buy media rights and equipment, anyone else think that will be a good idea? -
he was probably checking out if you were a spy or not, but being a country lad he is down to earth.

Anyone ever listen to Alex Jones, he is a cheer leader for trump, he is the king of fake news, he has said Michelle Obama, is a transgender woman, thinks Obama is the Antichrist, and trump is always truthful, and says he understands the common man

There is a 2 week hummy only did my hammy once missed 1 week back playing 2 weeks after doing it, mind you it was playing cricket, there way more sprinting in AFL. I hope he plays because he will tear it real good playing too soon, hopefully then putting him out for 4 to 6 weeks.

In his all Australian year he was number 1 for hit out to advantage

This is where not checking facts then making statements that are wrong, then another hack also does not check facts believes said statement, then many also don't check stats, furthers falsehoods, then many believe it and are all hacks, we won clearances by 41 to 38, now that's half the story, we won centre clearances by 20 to 12, winning centre clearances is more important then stoppages, because it often leads to inside 50's, also there are less players in a centre clearances then a stoppage, in a stoppage there are so many players around the ball and so those hitouts are more 50 50 in who wins the clearances.

Abblett will play round 1 ready or not, with danger not playing they will be desperate for him to play, it will be a good chance he pulls it during the game which will be better, because the other player will relay on him.
-
Viney foot is fine he is running flat out if they want he can play round 1, they are thinking a extra week of running will give him the right amount of conditioning in his legs, he got back to running a week or 2 later then expected, what most don't understand humans are not robots, everybody heals at different rates.

They will do the standard thing they do for hamstring injuries, they have a fair idea, am sure doctors can make a fairly good judgement, without scans.
-
I can see a lot of injuries to danger and abblett this year, because Geelong has put all their eggs in the abblett Dangerfield basket, and Henderson to a lesser extent. I man or 2 man teams never won a flag, they have no depth out side of their 7 best players, every team that ever won a flag needs depth in ever part of the ground, they have 4 good midfielders 2 good defender's and 2 good forwards, outside of those players the don't have a good second tier players, thats way the saints never won a flag under Ross, great top 6, average bottom 10.

Does everyone remember James seller kicking 5 goals in a preseason game against port, then in round 1 v port he could not even mark the ball.
-
Leave Watts alone, no other player who has been traded has had this sort attention, I for one will not have a running commentary on his time at port, there is going to be enough of our player playing good games, to talk about.
-
This team is not the team of 5 years ago, the cats need all their guns to win, danger almost beat as last year, off his own boot.
-
Our average losing margin last year was about 23 points, even the games we lost we should not have lost were within 12 points, the game that hurt as the most was the Darwin game where we had our weakest side for the year, our best side would have not lost by more then 25 points or even won. This is how the world works, you can do 9 things correct and make 1 really bad mistake and everyone points to the mistake and criticise it, but very few will say well done for getting 9 correct, almost everyone looks at the losses to the bottom side as mental weakness no one ever points to the wins against the good sides, and the wins interstate, and say that's a sign of mental strength.
