Demonland Player of the Year - round 6
Maybe next year replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
6. Dunn 5. M Jones 4 Garland 3. Frawley 2. Tapscott 1. N jones Worst on ground honours: McDonald - hopeless with or without ball Trengove - not present Howe - was he playing -
I thought the booing/cheering when he was subbed came from the vast number of Essendon supporters. Please tell me a Melbourne supporter would not boo an young indivisual who is clearly out of form and suffering. Despite being subbed he was constantly urging the team to continue during the 3/4 time huddle. Before anyone jumps down my throat, I believe he needs to return to Casey to earn some form but he should not be booed nor should any Melbourne player or official. It is ok to be mad, or sad but not rude. Let's not hang the bloke just yet.

Umm. I think thr point was that in 2011 she said Kane was sacked. Yet in 2012 he won the best and fairest for Port Adelaide. Eitherway, the silver lining in all this is that the club will come out stronger as a unit just like Melbourne Storm. -
Everyone Stand Up And Applaud Mark Neeld

Agree that was an interesting quote. What I found equally as interesting is that he is "trying to build a good relationship" with the coach. Surely after 12 months and with everything that has happened to the club, he should have a good relationship rather than "trying"; especially if he has a good one with Craig. Don't get me wrong I think these players have probably had it too easy over the years but I am scared Neeld is not warming to the players. Of course one way of fixing this is sacking those players (what is that impact I wonder?) -

Not a great game but I would not think he lacked effort. Got injured early. With that all said, I do think he is generally a lazy footballer considering he has more talent than most players. I think he could be a Goddard player.

6. Spencer ( I would never have guessed) 5. Bleese 4. Jetta 3. Jones (quiet 2nd half but great 1st half) 2. Howe ( for his first half) 1. Trengrove
-
I did not say it was good. Just that it was improving but just my opinion.
-
6. Sylvia (as others said, would be good to see this against best teams) 5. Jones (most consistent and glad we have another three years at least of this) 4. Grimes ( gives his all) 3. Green ( great delivery to him and whilst picky did not like his celebration after 4th goal but good to see some enjoyment) 2. Howe ( worth going just to see him) 1. T.McDonald. ( looks a defender and even his disposal is improving) Apologies to Trengove, Joel MacDonald and Spencer

I just did. That is all I wanted. We can disagree and we do obviously that justice should be served no matter the age. I just wanted some acknowledgement that it could have been insensitive. There are things we can do and that is make sure this happens to no other faith, race or people. Anyway, let's just concentrate now on Melbourne beating the Kangas.

Some things are too serious to make light of.
-
Simon Wisenthal was about bringing Nazis to justice, not in punishing anyone of German heritage. That is the fundamental difference. If what you say is what he Meath then all he needed to do was say that was not his intent and I would have stopped. As it is, I have made my point so I am ready to move on.
-
Thought you may be too small to even acknowledge you were insensitive. I can only hope you never experience the pain and hurt my family experienced. Until my last breath I support anyone who brings evil people to justice and will ensure people remember what happened to ensure this never happens again.
-
I can understand that and agree. People are entitled to be mad. What upset me is the comparison to genocide and mass murder.
-
I can think of 6 million reasons (1 million of which relate to children). Not to mention another 4 million reasons nothing to do with religion. I imagine if a person killed a member of your family, you would want he or she brought to justice no matter their age but that is a guess. The comparison is insensitive and inappropriate. My comment on tainting is also satire and irony. Mmmmm. Perhaps acknowledging an error in attempting some humor is warranted rather than trying to justify it.
-
Both shocking comparisons and your comments taint all future comments of yours as insensitive. Personally anyone who participates in mass genocide and war crimes should be hunted down and punished accordingly. Leaving a job for better pay and securing a financial future for one's family is hardly a comparison. I wonder what you would do if you were offered a significant amount more only to change jobs. Yes I was annoyed but enough of a realist to see it. Please please avoid comparisons like this again.

Sitting behind the streaker in the 2000 grand final. Not much other than that on that day.

Your reputation is at stake now. You sound like many commentators who make these big statements only to be proven wrong. If what you say is true, we are in a worse position as a club than I thought because such employees should never be revealing such things.
-
So of all the list you can come up with a couple of positives. I agree if the topic is about weaknesses but not asan assessment. I. Think it might bedtime to support a new club if that is the best assessment you can do.ifnot for anything else but for your sanity. The list will not change much in the next 12 months.

Interested To note that when I was watching the Melbourne V Fremantle game on foxtel yesterday ( I live in Sydney) that they tried to say Colin Garland did the same and that maybe this is a new trend in footy. Personally isawnothing similar In the two acts other than there was a tackle. Let's see what happens. -

6. Martin 5. Bail 4. McKenzie 3. Grimes 2. Trengove 1. Sylvia Nicholson unlucky but he turned it over a bit too much for my liking.that said. All of my three lower votes turned it over too much also. Jones was a bit quiet today but perhaps my expectation has increased to too high a level.
