  1. I like to think of myself as having a reasonable insight into footy with a pretty good understanding of pros and cons of players on the MFC list. I can't recall a time when it was harder to pick a best 22. Poor form and injury in 2018, new arrivals, a few favorites entering the twilight and a bunch of youngsters with barely tapped potential contribute to this. There will be bolters and sliders that no one will expect. It will be fascinating year.
  2. It is and it isn't. He struggles to hold his position when checked by a bit of body pressure and allows himself to get under the ball a lot. Once a key defender works this out he becomes a lot easier to counter It sounds like he has been beefed up. This season we will find out a lot more. His two finals in 2018 we're excellent and displayed that he has ability and temperament.
  3. Sheesh bagging players..how many games have you played? Had to be done
  4. Doubt it. It would also be an act of bastardry
  5. Spot on. We lost our mojo, the entries were slow allowing opposition defences to get organised. Whilst the forward line struggled for form, the problems didn't original there.
  6. That is pretty much what we did. Except for the win bit.
  7. Is Barry Prendergast posting here, maybe under several names. There are some weird [censored] drafting theories getting bandied around.
  8. Get key forwards in the first round. But only the hungry ones. Got it. So each club gets 1 each of these hungry key forwards in the first round and then....draft the rest.
  9. So your theory is to not draft talls in the first round... or at all?
  10. Yep. A junior might be a super consistent at that level but you need to ask if the skill set they possess is transferable to senior AFL football?
  11. Looks to have that freakish indigenous agility. Betts, Rioli, McDonald-Tippingwuti. Some of those handpasses and that tap on..there is enough there to say that he is a pretty special talent.
  12. I have no great insight into these draftees this year but... I would be very wary of taking a junior who has made a name as a half back flanker specialising as an uncontested distributor high in the draft.
  13. It's November, there is a solid case for not training at all
  14. A problem with Demonland (and society) is that often people think down binary lines. The OP is a classic example. You are either a sycophant or as the OP puts it a "backstabber". It is possible that by applying critical thinking to matters of the MFC you can appreciate some of the good things about the club and recognise the not so.
  15. Please no. Not with the censorship Stalinyrcon. The reports have been going so well.
  16. For all of the negatives and there are many, I like the way that the clubs are uniting on the issue. We are at least heading in the right direction. The acceptance of racism is less than what it used to be. While the internet gives racists a platform i does so for many and varied forms of F#xkwits. Social media is in the process of tidying up it's operations and racist groups have been shut down enmasse and less hateful content is getting through since Christchurch. Still a long way to go. Taking a different tack the extreme right wing globally will continue to keep race issues front and centre as it is part of their agenda. I could talk about this for days but will leave it there.
  17. Possibly, but Collingwood wasted no time in cutting him. Our interest was reported reported immediately. Our interest in Brown appears to coincide with our loss of interest in Murray. That a lack of reported interest from other clubs leads one to inferences. However they are only inferences.
  18. Interesting. Delisted quickly by pies. Rejected by us despite being a young player with attributes we require. Something's crook in Tallarook.
