  1. If the signing is true that I am more excited about this pick up then Vince or Tyson! why?

Cross is regarded as one of the most professional players in the AFL in regards to his training and body conditioning. His humbleness and leadership is a highly regarded in the AFL circles. Been known to be one of the fittest player in the AFL in the way he will gut run both ways without stopping. This bloke is a crazy running machine. Would be well worth the watch on training day this summer just to watch blokes try and catch him, he is seriously one fit man.

Cross is also a big family man so there is no better role model for the likes of Toumpas, Viney, Barry, Pick 9 coming through. He will also show them how hard you need to gut run and be the most professional player you can be. He will be the first on the track and the last to leave as he is always working on his weakness and improve his game.

Terry Wallace said recently that he is the most dedicated person he has ever come across in his football career. He also mentioned that is a coach in waiting. So think of it as a playing assistant role he will have with us.

Nathan Jones will love going into battle with this bloke. One of the most courage's players in the AFL with his fearsome attack on the footy.

Mark my words our midfield will get a massive boost next year with this bloke leading from the front.

  2. How can he go to the PSD when he signed a contract last year after we offered him big bucks? The total dis-regard for logic in this thread is unbelievable sometimes.

Wow dude chiiiilll the F out. Completely forgot he signed a contract so my bad in my terms.

    Sheesh..

  3. That's not what jack Viney says, and the key people in the MFC. They believe his relationship with DT was very important in reassuring him ( DT) that the MFC was a great destination for him.

I think we (the MFC) are in a different position than most other clubs in the AFL because of our perceived "Brand" problem. It requires personal re-assurances from trusted intermediaries to re- assure you you are not going to a basket case. From all we hear about JV, he is a natural and very strong leader, with a burning ambition for the MFC to succeed (like his old man). Along with Roos legendary influencing skills you'd imagine Roos and JV would be a very powerful influence on great young footballers thinking of coming home to Melbourne.

Why could this not work on TA, now that GWS has spat the dummy on the Collingwood deal? It would be the icing on the cake (along with our ND PICK 9) to our trading to build our midfield.

    Wow, what a prospect??

What did Jack Viney and the key people at Melbourne say?

  4. Is best mates with Dom Tyler and Jack Viney apparently. That could well change his attitude. Let's hope he can be persuaded to come via the PSD (hopefully by them).

The is a very interesting video on the Giants website with DM (who is their equivalent of Maxy Gawn in that respect except a lot more articulate!) and TA. They are clearly good mates. Might count a lot in the end.

Being good mates doesnt mean anything.

Buddy left his best mate Josh Gibson.

Scully left his boyfriend Bleasey behind.

    The list goes on.

Money and succes talks these days. Taylor Adams will make new friends at collingwood.

Its all part of life now.

  5. Threes no proof Adams did anything like that

hes a young kid whos most likely getting bad advice from his manager

I find it hard to believe he said "i dont want to play for Melbourne"

His manager came out and said he didnt want to talk to melbourne.

Enough said. Keep pick 9 for Freeman who will be just as good as Adams.

  6. B: Colin Garland Tom Mcdonald Luke Tapscott

HB: jack Grimes James Frawley Jimmy Toumpas

C: Jack Watts Dom Tyson Viv Michie

HF: Jesse Hogan Chris Dawes Nathan Freeman

F: Jeremy Howe Mitch Clark Dean Kent

FOL: Mark Jamar Bernie Vince Nathan Jones

I/C: Jack Viney Jack Trengove Daniel Cross

    SUB: Sam Blease

Assuming we draft Nathan Freeman at #9

Much better looking team, particularly like the half back line and the half forward line,

Think Viv Michie is going to prove to be a huge steal for us, as will Dom Tyson and Pick 9 for pick 2, watched alot of Tyson and personally rate him as a top 3 pick alone if he is able to stay fit.

This one takes the cake. Great work.
  7. We desperately need to pick up another experienced mid before next season.

So far we have lost 2 experienced mids in Sylvia & Rodan .

We have picked up Vince & 2 players with a total of 14 games plus another mid from the draft with no experience.

Our midfield will be close to the most inexperienced in the league.

That's why we should be picking up Daniel Cross.

Give him a two year contract and watch our young midfield grow under this bloke.
