Who isn't a fan of GAJ!? the guy is defining the odds from all angles. I have never ever seen such extraordinary talent in what he displays. The game is a dull place when he is not playing. I hope he doesn't get ping for that. Absolutely deserves a third brownlow. He is daylight ahead of any player this year its quite remarkable.

I wanted them to. We were on the same number of points as them and I thibk it'd be good to finish ahead of them on the ladder.

I'd like to see a female coach (Michelle Cowan maybe) given an opportunity at an assistant coaching role next year.... Female coaching is a gold mine of ideas, waiting to be drawn from...

If any female deserves a coaching gig its Peta searl I think her name is. Pretty experience in terms of VFL experience with Port Melbourne and been doing it for alot of years.

The one that intrigues me the most is Brendan Bolton from Hawthorn. Has been coaching for 10 years and is only 35 and moved through the ranks to become the midfield coach at Hawthorn after he coached the Box Hill Hawks. Box Hill's president paid tribute to him by saying his created such a positive environment that even the AFL players enjoyed playing there. Must have some serious skills to be the mdifield coach at the Hawks and if he can clearly create and develop great relationships with the players then he might be one to look at.... if he's interested that is.

Reminds me of someone who did 10 years of coaching and had great success as a Collingwoods midfield coach..

One thing has not been mentioned here at all is how good Tom Mcdonald has been this year as a defender. In fact he has been absolutely super form! Has shut down Franklin, Reiwoldt, Hendersen and Hawkins in the Nab cup. Frawley and Mcdonald in the backline is a formidable duo with Hogan and Dawes up forward.

Basically already learning the Paul Roos game plan from Ross Lyon and would be just the perfect smooth transition after Roosy. The game plan wouldnt chance much which I like.

Not bad they have him playing on ball. Its 1st qtr so far and Sandy are getting done. Roosy pretty frustrated in skills errors so you could imagine him in the coaches box lol.

Just on Roos im at the TAC between sandy and the Bushies game and im literally sitting 2 meters away from the great man and his beautiful wife tammi. Talk about having an auroa about him!

I think they would expect to get some shackles from the event but I would imagine they wouldn't know at the start of the year how much.

Just one other thing the players love the big crowds and it helps if there are plenty of Dees there. Howey was telling me that in his second game he played in the QB game and some of the other guys told him to treat it like any other game and nothing was different, then he got out on the ground. He said his heart nearly exploded through his chest and he just couldn't believe the noise, I'm sure he's used to it now.

Robbie did hear any little talk on who we might chase at the end of the year? Would love to know if we are going to do another Tyson trade scenario.

If we lose chip and get an extra priority pick I would nearly bite the bullet and go with that. But I would also ask back another first round draft pick like we did with the Tyson deal. We did the trade with Tyson because I believe the club knew he had serious potential and bit the bullet. Look how its turned out. I believe we should do the same with O'Rourke.

I really do hope we push for him. He only has to look at his mate Tyson to see how he has flourish under Roos. This is a big call but I could see more upside in O'Rourke then Tyson. Is tall with elite kicking skills and speed. Can play inside or out. Like Tyson injuries have hurt him. Cannot see the dogs going after him as their midfield is fine. We could even use him off a half back to set up play with his kicking skills.

He is also 188cm tall. The perfect big tall midfielder Roosy dreams of.

Jono O' Rourke is best mates with Tyson, and has played footy with both Toumpas and Viney. Just there alone would make a solid midfield for years to come.

Just noticed he will be up my way this Saturday (wangaratta). Il be watching the TAC game aswelk and will definitely go up and shake his hand and mention that I probably speak on behalf of most supporters that I thank him for bringing back the enjoyment of supporting the Melbourne Football Club again.

I doubt that Chip will take Wingard I think he was just taking the p155, he's a very funny guy, great sense of humour. I could understand why he'd be popular at the club.

They did a parody of Roos with all the players wearing a Fitzroy jumper and a mullet wig and Chip's was just great. Roos found out about it the day before and gave them a bake which I think was all part of the show. He was like the rest of us and thought it was hilarious.
