I am enjoying this immensely. I recall the beatings we got from Clarkson’s Hawthorn sides. It’s been a  while coming but revenge is now at hand .  As they say,  revenge is a dish best served cold . 

As I said in April two years ago this guy has it it. We need to re-sign him

FFS keep him! He would have played in the premiership if he hasn’t got injured . He’s had a very good season. His pace is unique. Used correctly he add immense half back edge and attack.  He plays with passion and huge physical commitment. We’ve nurtured and trained him . Don’t throw that away.

The Dees must look at its own past.  I hope the CEO and administration are on it right now. There is no time to lose. 

Kane Cornes mentioned rumours about  Pickett , that he might also be seeking a way out of MFC. The words he used were something like “ he doesn’t see his long term future at Melbourne “ . Anyone know anything about that? I’ve no idea of KP’s contract status. 

Wonderful news!

Simply the most courageous player I ever saw. Played for us, for our Club, with unbelievable passion and intensity. In the three finals of 1987 he was immense.  His battle with Brereton in the prelim at VFL Park was unforgettable. Brings a tear to think that is 35 years ago  and that he’s gone. 

It’s a risk. Sydney have some pretty speedy small players. Salem has many great qualities but pace isn’t one of them. Without Rivers (who it’s true has been struggling), and Salem in after a 10 Week layoff, we look a tad slow down back. I’m worried. 

Just read a report of this.  CP really struggled at training, and knee on ice afterwards.   Anyone know anything more? 

Yes this guy is special. But I worry at his light frame. A big hit could do a lot of damage to a small guy like him.

I am visiting Melbourne after 2 years away and would to see the boys training. Anyone can tell where and when next? Assuming the Club has given out that  info. I couldn’t see anything on then website. Thanks 

Brian Wilson final round 1987 Western Oval 

Always loved AVDB for his hardness at the ball. He was never that quick to begin with but the foot issues slowed him up. He stayed loyal when offered by the Swans art end of 2018. Gave  his all. Wonderful clubman. So very sorry to see him go. 
Lockhard a shock. Very unlucky. 

it’s a hard business I know.  Probably the right decisions but it’s upsetting nonetheless.

Sad to see this news, on today of all days.  Very good forward.   One of the finest marks on his era.  The only part of his game which was a bit iffy was his kicking, otherwise he would have been a superstar.  A shining light in an otherwise pretty dark period.  RIP Greg  

Yes to Dan and Mark Tracey. With whom I went to the MCG as a boy. Thinking of you today! Hopefully we’ll bring the Cup home today.
