Does she threaten violence SWYL? That is where the line is. Go her all you like about her work but DO NOT threaten violence or demean her due to being female. It is really a very simple concept.
-
Speak for yourself SWYL.
-
The point Stuie is making is did she cop threats of violence (smashed to a pulp)? Nothing wrong with questioning her writing or integrity, heaps wrong with threats of violence.

Watch the video I posted above, it should help with why comments like these are an issue.

I actually don't think Eddie is to in the wrong, his call about pushing her down the slide is fine, he over stepped the mark saying he hoped she stayed under and Spud ran over the line and kept running water boy style when he came out with jumping in and holding her down. JB really had little to do with it.

Have a watch of this video, it explains the power of words and attitudes that go with it and why this is an issue in stopping violence against women. I don't know any of the three men at all and will as such give them the benefit that they are not violent or abusive, I have no evidence to say otherwise. They are in a position of influence, especially over the not so wise amongst our society and as such need to be very careful with these things. I think they get far too caught up in all the boys club crap that most football clubs go on with to even really know what is going on outside of that fishbowl. One a side note, that boys club crap is exactly why I stopped playing footy at under 19's, too many idiots going on with this sort of bull.

Really? Not sure which game you were watching, Buddy beat Tom on a couple of occasions otherwuse Tom took the chocies.

I thought that with the exception of a couple of shockers that OMac was pretty good today. Was there a player in either team who didn't have a shocker at some point?
-
And at least half of them might have been against an opponent with the ball!
-
We stayed with them for quite a while and ere simply outgunned by a bigger more experienced side that has more class. Last quarter wasn't great but we move on from here.
-
It is starting to remind me of the Hawks game where every chaos ball they kick lands in a team mates arms

We had a high draft pick like that didn't we, he never succeeded with the STD from what I hear although he did try to get as many STD's as possible if the rumours are true. He ended up out west from memory.

Watch a bit closer then, Bernie loves a big up and under kick in all sorts of conditions. He only does it out of packs and congestion but he does do it. As you say though he is also a very good kick, but we only really see that when he has a little time and space.

I am surprised by the amount of young players the swans have in the team though, they are obviously very well supported by a group of very good highly experienced players, which we lack in number. Given the weather forecast and hopefully carrying over our experience from the Hawks game I can see us sneaking a win here, but I also wont be surprised if we lose comfortably.

Knights did what he did with full board endorsment, he told them they wouldn't win much but that they were rebuilding. He was delivering that but Hird and others couldn't handle it and white anted him and then took the team Knights was putting together to the finals and then claimed the credit. Knights was no where near as bad as they make out, he may actually have been quite good.

I love the hack CEO call. He took them to a flag and didn't oversee the whole club being slammed from pillar to post for injecting their players with who knows what. Not to mention the great work he has done at the dees. I was wondering what HeppelltitisD is too, is that one of the side effects from the unknown drugs from mexico?

Thyroid issues can cause all sorts of issues, sometimes weight gain, sometimes weight loss. It also has a large bearing on your overall health and energy levels. I know someone well who developed issues with her thyroid in her 20's and she really struggled with being completely exhausted for years until they got the issue sorted, she now comparatively has heaps of energy and is much better. Hopefully with Christian they have got onto it early and can manage it with medication fairly easily once it is under control.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
Chris replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
Loved the goals from 2 feet outside the boundary line. He better not get used the umps giving him leeway as he won't get it at the dees. -
Using the home game attendance can be very inaccurate of true attendance by a cluibs supporters as it all depends on who you are playing against. We get home games against clubs that draw fewer people then clubs like the Pies, Tiges, and Dons get so their averages are higher purely because of who they are playing. Total attendances across all games is far more accurate as that anomaly is gone however you still get issues with venues etc, such as us getting 5K to the Alice game when we would have got 25+ at the G. In this we are around the middle of the table with an average or nearly 35k a game Collingwood in front with 50K then tiges on 42k, dons 40k, and then a steady decrease through lots of teams to Port in 13th, after which it drops of fairly dramatically. This is a pretty good result considering where we are at as a team and where we have been for a long time. The surprising one for mine is North, they are top of the ladder and averaging nearly 6,000 people less a game than we are in 14th overall! Collingwood Magpies 12 606,533 50,544 Richmond Tigers 12 515,439 42,953 Essendon Bombers 12 487,484 40,624 Adelaide Crows 12 468,596 39,050 Carlton Blues 12 466,749 38,896 Geelong Cats 12 459,862 38,322 Hawthorn Hawks 12 455,056 37,921 West Coast Eagles 12 432,520 36,043 Melbourne Demons 12 413,052 34,421 Western Bulldogs 12 402,794 33,566 Sydney Swans 12 396,951 33,079 St Kilda Saints 12 394,736 32,895 Port Adelaide Power 12 393,862 32,822 North Melbourne Kangaroos 12 336,840 28,070 Fremantle Dockers 12 330,629 27,552 Brisbane Lions 12 287,481 23,957 GWS Giants 12 260,458 21,705 Gold Coast Suns 12 223,272 18,606 ALL 108 3,666,157 33,946 From footywire http://www.footywire.com/afl/footy/attendances

Just had a quick look at the dogs last year as we are in age and experience, not to mention development, about a year behind them. At this point last year they were 6 and 5 (had a bye) and had played 6 of the eventual finalists. They finished the year with 8 and 3 including only playing 2 more of the eventual finalists. We are 6 and 6 having played 4 teams in the 8. We have a bye and 10 games left this year with 5 of the teams in the 8 to come. I was hoping to find an indication of a rise like they had but it wasn't to be found here. We really to win a game against one of the teams in the 8 to have any chance. If we go 6 and 4 (win all out of 8 and one in the 8) for the rest of the year we finish on 12 wins, that may be enough but our percentage would need to be great. Win two of the games of those in the 8 and all of those out of the 8 and we will play finals. I gave up on finals during the Port game but somehow have a sniff of finals again. Lose this week and that wont return for another 6 months.

They also missed out on Tyson's holding on the 50. If he grazed that with his leg then I couldn't see it, I have also seen far more obvious kicks paid as dropping. The ump was in a great spot to see it though.

I think we did in patches, especially part of the third, but they had the run of the umps int eh first, we couldn't get a free to save ourselves no matter what happened, and the rest was fairly even, except the free to Cox (I think) in the last couple of minutes in their goal square, he tangled legs with a Melbourne player, both fell over, he got a free, was astounding!

We are a bit like a plane at an airport, we seem to finally have all the passengers, luggage, food etc on board (which we haven't managed for a decade or more), we have left the gate (which we have done before but we took too many passengers along for the ride), and we are currently taxiing out to the run way. We seem to take a wrong turn here and there but instead of ending up back in the gate as we have in the past we seem to be able to make the right turn again and head back towards the run way again. I think we are close to finding the end of the runway, it really good be any week now although I think next year is more likely. Hopefully by the end of the next year we are in the air and the likes of the Hawks and Roos are coming in to land as Freo did this year!

Maybe he was thinking of the VFL?

And send Bugg to Pendles. Their two main play makers getting royally annoyed by these two would be great to watch.
