Here's a link to that article. In my view, it puts significant doubt on sports science. I wonder what else, claimed in the name of sports science, is suspect? Perhaps we'll finally see players who kick goals staying on the ground instead of being immediately interchanged and maybe there will be
moresome practice at kicking for goal.Fixed that for you.

Well played Carlton, although I suspect paying newnes more than the saints could offer could impact what Carlton can now offer Jack Martin.
Interesting times ahead.
They wouldn't need to offer much, the Saints offered him base salary and match payments, about the same as a rookie I believe. The same as what Nathan Jones is on.

Bad day today, a MFC great has passed away. I knew him well, as well as a great player he was a great guy. Just a few months ago we were discussing the current team and we thought 2019 might be the year. Sadly No! Miss you mate.
A very bad day, was one of the greats, a stalwart of our greatest era. RIP. Condolences to the family and friends.

If you want to avoid a snapshot of the delusions of grandeur and persecution that are perpetuated by Essendon supporter don't go to BF in particular the forum in Essendon section that has the "Opposition Supporters Carded"
It reminds me of Steely Dan's Third Album Title.

Your mission is to ensure that we're tuned to Fox Footy Channel for the duration of the meal.
Where will your bad wives be?

Where did you find out what year they are. I can only see the round not the year. I just rang Foxtel to ask if they would put the years of the games on the Guide. They said they will get on to it today. Believe that when I see it. Agree with others comments about them being a disappointing choice of games. Also agree on needing some Robbie and '87 games.
While watching the game just hit the information button twice, that shows the year and the round. Simples.

Yes ..well thank you Red. However, at the moment I realize that it is my credit card I need to keep a better grip on. The squeeze just announced she has booked a weekend in Cantberra for us.
Apparently there is a display of pictures by some fellow Robert or Roberts who draws sheep and shearing sheds!!
FMD. I hope it's not Special Robert!!
Ah yes, I understand that his Magnum Opus is the delightfully named "Ramming the Shears". Enjoy!

On Monday 14th December I ventured down to the paddock to record some images of the Dees training as I'm want to do from time to time and posted around 100 photographs of the Dees at work. To post the 100 pictures I take around 500 pictures and share what I consider to be a representative cover of the boys effort on the day. You don't see every frame that I take.
I thought that because we are now in a bit of a hiatus with the cub shut down till next year that I would spend I bit of time exploring one of my passions (photography) examining the result of my afternoons work and sharing an extended view of what I see at training covering one of my other passions (The Dees)..
I'll go through the full 500 shot gallery and pick selected shots and sequences over the next couple of weeks until the boys are back in town. You'll see shots you have already seen in the original post but they will be in context with other shots.
If you have no interest in this, have a lovely Christmas and I'll see you in the new year.
For all of the rest of you, the first small set is of the big Gawn. Two of the shots were in the original post.
Enjoy Review Set 1==>https://six6six.smugmug.com/photos/swfpopup.mg?AlbumKey=cqhFsx

Really loving the new feel around the club at the moment, bloody shame I'm in Sydney tho ...
That makes two of us SMOKIE. That's why I demolish the training reports as soon as they appear, always good reading.

May I just remark,in approbo of nothing, that I have done the old Walrus with the chopstix several times and it has never failed to raise at least a titter.
Must have been a very tough room.
Still ,Dustin has time to work on his culturally insensitive gags at ethnic restaurants.
There are a myriad of different peoples to offend in Melbourne which contributes to the pleasure of eating out.
One only hopes he can find a more receptive audience in his next culinary expedition.
Apropos of nothing you might need spell check!!

And even more importantly I would think that Jones' year wasn't one of his better years due to his neck injury. So am expecting even better things from him (compared to 2015) which just reinforces your point about our price being way over the odds.I really don't get it, all bias aside. Our only real losses are Cross and Howe, the latter of which is questionable. We have by my count 8 new additions (including 4 who missed most/all of last year) that will be amongst the best 22. If nothing else this is a massive increase in our depth and competition for spots. Then when you look at the list you could pretty much say that perhaps everyone bar jones, vince and dunn has a higher level to take their game to compared to what they contributed last year, either due to inexperience and/or form. Our first-to-third year group of talent is surely as good as anyone in the competition. Then you realise it's the third year of a rebuild that can be proven to be on an upwards trajectory (see my signature). I don't see the logic in suggesting we will not improve.
PS As I noted recently in another thread, our fixture shows 13 matches against teams we beat last year and/or finished higher than.

Are there many players who have had similar injuries whose comebacks can be compared with Trengove's? Each of the following had some sort of foot injury which might have been similar: Matthew Egan, James Hird, Colin Garland. Did they have the same initial problem? How does Jack's comeback trajectory compare?
Jimmy Bartell, Hird, Egan and Shaun Higgins all had navicular injuries. So as long as the medical team manages him properly we can look forward to seeing him at the G sometime next year........... I hope and pray.
